Here is an armature for a 1/40 Moropus-measures 2.5 inches at the shoulder- this animal is one that is special to me, I made a full size model of this animal back in 1997, and I always have liked it since-I kept the same pose as the one I did before for this 1/40 figure, sort of static but thats ok- I also made a 1/12 scale maquette prior to making the full size piece so this will be the third model of this animal I have done-

My only complaint is that the ear is upside down! Here is what I mean, a horse with ears laid back: The ear openings should face towards the ground.

Fixed the ears, must be tired, threw them on last and didnt notice the mistake, thanks for pointing it out to me-

It could use a bit more "point" to the knee and ankle also, where the bone would be just under the skin. I hope you add this one to the line. I believe it's the only morupus figure out there apart from starlux?? This creature has the craziest feet of anything I have ever seen..

Wow, I really like the simple but effective color scheme on this guy - and an outstanding sculpt, great textures! Definitely on my "want" list. ;D Will look great with my Indri and Bronto. Now, how about a Toxodon and Chalicothere? Anyway, three cheers for putting this guy out there!

Oh man, I love this. Moropus! I really like his paint-scheme simple but kinda reminds me of a Malayan Tapirs' pattern. Awww! Man, if I ever get my little Hyracotherium finished and cast I will definetly get a Moropus to pose him with. <3

And I have to agree--I will need one of these too (Malcolm, just considered one ordered, along with the Mastodon). But I also agree--it looks like it needs stripes or something, at least on the posterior limbs (kind of like an Okapi?).

I had thought of doing a more antelopey paint scheme with stripes or pattern of some kind , but decide a simpler elkey type color scheme seemed more appropriate for this guy, plus it is easier to paint- lol.

I guess it make sense when you have a few that you have to paint ;D And it would be easy enough to add some stripes later on if one desires Cab't wait to have this guy, he would look so cool next to the others

I can only think of the Bullyland and the small Andediluvian figures, so this guy is sorely underrepresented. Maybe in an aggressive swiping-with-his-giant-arm pose, like at a menacing Hyaenodon. Which is also almost never made (AAA is all I've got). How about the two of them as a pair with bases that fit together? That would be pretty cool, IMHO. ;D

Yes that sounds like it might be pretty cool- I really havent made figures to interact together like that yet. I am starting to think I am sort of lopsided in the ratio of 1/40 scale non dino figures to dino figures- need to get more dinos out there methinks.
