Finding cool looking palm trees for dinosaur dioramas can be tough. May I suggest the 13" plastic ones you can find easily on the net? I got mine from celebrateexpress.com for $7.99 each, cheap compared to most other sites. The bases they're attached to are rather flimsy so I just pulled the "trunks" out of them, threw out the bases, got some air-drying clay from a dollar store and fashioned my own sturdy bases, pushed the trees in them and let it dry. Then I smeared the bases with glue and sprinkled sand on them. Looks great! And here's a tip in case the tree's leaves have been squished or distorted during packing/shipping. Just pass them through some steam from a kettle and they will spread out beautifully. These look just awesome when incorporated into a prehistoric diorama. You can find smaller trees at................... lmmodel.com/product_list.asp?catalogid=12&type_id=175These aren't quite as impressive as the ones above mentioned and they are smaller but I treated these the same way and they look cool to. Anyway...just thought I'd pass this info along to fellow dino fans. Have Fun! Attachments:
