I was reading ShukerNature, and came across this post on the Savery dodo painting. What I'm interested in is the red macaw - the copy and description call it all red, but I could swear I see (at least the outline of) dark/blue primaries. Thing is, there aren't very many good photos of this painting online. I recall the painting being on display at the NHM when I was there this summer, but stupidly didn't take a picture. My question, then, is: If anyone's going there anytime soon, would you have a look and tell me if I'm right?

I shall do so at the soonest available opportunity. Though at the moment I'm afraid I don't know when that might be. Perhaps Thursday or Friday.
