Here is an idea for a do-it-yourself project. Carnegie Tanystropheus (Triassic) can be customized to look like Protorosaurus (Permian). Head cut off and neck cut shorter, exposing wire. Webbing between toes removed. Left photo: head glued on. Right photo: puttied and painted. Tanystropheus above Protorosaurus. The original green color of Tanystropheus was changed to brown for the second version. Tanystropheus is a bizarre figure, but that long neck seems too derived to represent an ancestor of the archosaurs. The quality of Protorosaurus reminds me of Starlux. These archosauromorphs were related to the ancestors of dinosaurs and perhaps to the ancestors of turtles too.

Great custom job. ;D I wouldn't have thought of that possibility. Sure is nice to have a completely different animal with just a little work, isn't it?

Very cool, that is something I might have to try out. same here, but you might might have to buy a couple extra Tanys in case your first attempts are flops. Thats what I plan to do anyway.
