www.scifijapan.com/articles/2012/01/03/meet-speckles-the-tarbosaurus-in-3d/?mid=56vimeo.com/34321541SPECKLES THE TARBOSAURUS is a 3D, computer-animated feature based on KOREANOSAURUS, a 2008 nature documentary that aired on the Korean TV channel EBS (Educational Broadcasting System). The title refers to an as-yet undescribed theropod dinosaur (thought to be similar to the well-known Velociraptor and Deinonychus) which lived in the Korean peninsula during the early Cretaceous. In 2010, a completely separate species of ornithopod dinosaur was officially named Koreanosaurus boseongensis. The original KOREANOSAURUS television documentary depicted the life of Speckles (Jumbagi in Korean), a fictional Tarbosaurus that lived in Korea in the Cretaceous period (about 70 million years ago). In addition to the Tarbosaurs, the documentary featured many kinds of dinosaurs such as Velociraptor, Therizinosaurus, Protoceratops, Haenamichnus, Tsintaosaurus, Microraptor and Pukyongosaurus. The creatures were fully computer-generated and composited against real-life backgrounds, mainly photographed in New Zealand.

Wow! That Tarbosaurus looks as bad as the new Papo Tyrannosaurus (maybe even worse)! The dinosaurs look like there was no reference used at all while modeling the dinosaurs. These types of dinosaur depictions disgrace all dinosaurs. ;D But really, 'm extremely dissapointed in this film trailer. I preffer the oringinal Koreanosaurs film.

WOW.
That movie looks awesome. Anyone else see the resemblance between the Torosaurs in this movie and those in the WWD series?
The Tarbosaurs don't look bad to me at all. I hope this flick comes over to this side of the Pacific .... to IMAX, preferably!

This kinda looks like a cross between Disney's Dinosaur and Bambi. Those babysaurs look too much like cutiesaurs to my taste. Could be good, but I have my doubts.

The dinosaurs look pretty neat, but the story line seems rather lame, kind of like Godzilla.

As I was briefly involved in the project, I have to say that I (and my supervising professor) have provided tons of most-up-to-date references on how the dinosaurs should be designed, but since the development team had no idea what our point was (never even tried to understand) and completely ignored it, it somehow ended up in a disaster imo....
When it does come out eventually, there might be folks that would probably enjoy it (it is targeted to children after all), but I would never watch it myself after realizing that all the efforts I have put to get things at least 'descent' to a certain degree had been totally ignored....

The CGI looks gorgeous; too bad it looks like a knockoff of Disney's Dinosaur (seriously, the tyrannosaur cornering the tarbosaurus babies is nearly identical to a shot from the climax of Dinosaur). It's sort of like Age of Reptiles too, in that the dinosaurs don't have dialogue, though it looks like they're even more anthropomorphic given that the tyrannosaur seems to launch a boulder at the tarbosaurs at one point.
