Hi The Dinosaur Toy Forum, ;D
I have a Dinosaur Collection. A Dinosaur collection of 16 pieces. The collection is exhibited in my room on my bookshelf by IKEA(It looks great doesn't it? XD). My dinosaurs are from 4 brands. CollectA, Schleich-S, Toyway and Safari.Ltd. You will now get to see my growing collection. I will update my collection as it grows.
The first Section of my collection is the Therood Section. It contains, Dilophosaurus, Allosaurus, Eustreptospondylus, Therizinosaurus and Spinosaurus. This is the largest section so far in my collection, containing 6 pieces.
First is my 2 Dilophosaurus.
I do like this model. The skin is very bright and colourful, with shades of green and purple and blue overlaying the brown. The two crests should have been more circular in my opinoin. This model is by Schleich-S. It is 13cm long and 8cm tall at the head.
Next is my Allosaurus and Eustreptosondylus. The Allosaurus to the left and the Eustreptospondylus to the right.
I like these two. Especially the Eustreptospondylus because it is the only figure of one. The colour schemes are a bit boring. The Allosaurus is very detailed and resemples the WWD one in the shape of it. The Allosaurus is by Schleich-S and the Eustreptospondylus is by CollectA. The Allosaurus is 16cm long and 8.5cm tall at the top of the head. The Eustreptospondylus is 15cm long and 7cm tall at the top of the head.
The next Theropod is Therizinosaurus.
This one is the largest in the collection in my exhibition. It has a little posture problem. It has to rest on it's arm to stand alone. The colour scheme is shades of browns which are pretty boring. I wouldn't reccomend buying this one because CollectA are going to release and way better one in spring next year. This big guy is 29cm long and 17.5 cm at the arc of the neck. The model and skin is by Safari.Ltd.
Next and last is Spinosaurus. It came with a tooth replica of a real Spinosaurus.
This one came with the CollectA Stegosaurus in a plastic and cardboard box. I got it for Christmas. I like the colour scheme with greens and orange on the sail. The head is a bit wrong though. It measures 18cm long and 11.5cm tall at the top of the head. The tooth is 5.5cm long. Model and skin by CollectA.
The next section is the Ornithopod Section. It contains 4 pieces, Ouranosaurus, Muttaburrasaurus, Olorotitan and Iguanodon.
First is Ouranosaurus.
I really like this guy. He has a wonderful colour scheme of blue and orange. It looks like it is in a drinking position. It can lean on it's upright tail and stand on two feet. He measures 15.5cm long and 4cm tall at the tip of it's tail. In standing postion it is 14.5cm long and 6.5cm tall at tip of the sail. It was made and skinned by CollectA.
My favourite of the collection, the all-mighty Muttaburrasaurus!
My favourite dinosaur was made into a toy! I got so excited when I saw it on the internent. He does have a boring colour scheme though, with oranges and browns. He measures 15cm long and 4cm high at the tip of the head. By CollectA
Next is Olorotitan.
My only good Lambeosaur toy! I have 3 really bad Parasaurolophus that can't go on display. It's in a good position with it's tail held stiff. The colour isn't boring yet still realistic. This one measures 15.5cm long and 6.5cm tall at the very top of the crest. By CollectA
Next and last is Iguanodon.
This is the European Iguanodon showed in the BBC series Walking With Dinosaurs. The Walking With Dinosaurs toys were only for a limited time. So they are rare to find. You may find a couple in Ebay, but there expensive. A whole 10 piece collection was sold for $350! Normally they are around $30-$50. My parents got them when they were being sold. It measures 23.5cm long and 8cm tall at the top of the head. Model and skin by Toyway.
Next and last section is the Armoured Section, containing 3 pieces, Polacanthus, Triceratops, and Stegosaurus.
First is Polacanthus.
Like the Iguanodon it was part of the BBC Walking With Dinosaurs. It was only out for a limited time and is now discontinued. It has a lovely colour scheme and is quite big. It is 24cm long and 7.5cm tall at the tallest spike. Model and skin by Toyway.
Next is Triceratops.
This isn't a very good Triceratops. You can get better ones like the Papo one. But for small versions, this is the best one. It has a grey colour scheme with red and black bands. It measures 12cm long and 3cm tall at the tip of the brow horns. Model and skin by Schleich-S
Next and last of the whole collection is the Stegosaurus.
It came packaged with the Spinosaurus in a plastic and cardboard box. I got it for Christmas. It also came with a replica of one of it's spikes. It has excellent detail on it and has a good colour scheme. It measures 16cm long and 8cm high at the tallest plate. Made by CollectA. The spike measures 4cm high when standing up.
Well that is my collection.
You can get them on this website for the cheapest. I am NOT willing to sell my WWD toys. You can find them on Ebay. I will update as my collection grows bigger. I will use them for Stop-Motion Animation which I will try to upload on youtube.
Thank you for reading this!
