Jon is hoping to reach a deal with Mike at the Alchemy works to cast & ship this & the upcoming Sue model. I was completely taken by surprise with this one, this model is a STUNNER, with great detail & a pose that is a welcome change of pace, instead of the usual "running with the mouth open". Great work Jon, a new Ceratosaurus model was long overdue!

Interesting. The head look really nice.
I can't help but say the pose looks a lot like the new Safari figure..but at least the feet are in scale on this one . ;D

Yep, the head certainly looks terrific; would like to see some more body shots, esp to get a size estimate, maybe with a coke can or Hans. Anyway, glad to see Jon is still busy sculpting, I have a bunch of his pieces and they're all very nicely done and accurate. Way to go Jon, and thanks for posting these, John!

Anytime, I think this model is 16"-17" long, scaled to the size of an 8 meter long individual. I'm sure Jon will chime in sooner or later with all the details..

Thanks for posting these, John!
Hmm, Now that you mention it, the pose is pretty similar. That's a complete coincidence, though, as today was the first time I'd ever seen the Safari model!
John's right, this guy is about 17" long from nose to tip-of-tail if you stretch him out straight. It's based on the largest known Ceratosaurus, an 8.8 meter long individual. I'll be sending it out to Mike Evans at Alchemy works for casting. As John mentioned above, I am hoping that Mike will be able to drop ship them for me, as this should get them to customers' doors faster than I can count on myself being able to do.
Ataraxus, I'm sorry that you have had bad experiences with my customer service. I realize that I have been flakey recently, and that's why (as John mentioned) I am seeking other means to get kits produced and shipped, rather than attempting to do all of it myself (as I have done with most of my kits). I'm nearing completion of my Master's degree, and between teaching and my research work, I amon campus something like 90 hours per week.... which as you might imagine, limits the amount of time that I have for anything else. So, please accept my apologies, and send me a PM or an email and I will do what I can to make sure that you are compensated for your patience with me!
Cheers, Jon

Thanks! I promise that they aren't too long, though. I try to be pretty careful about the scaling and proportions in my work.

Its not bad Jon, nice to see someone else do one too. Mine will be out of production soon so this should fit the bill . Yeah i hope ordering and contact will improve as i would like to see you stick around but many have shared there discontent with me about the delays and asked if i had a better way for them to get hold of you, i guess since they know we are both in the same business. I told them to hang in there he is a good guy who needs more hours of the day but i do understand thier frustration. I too have been slower than normal due to being so busy. sorry to those who had to wait too long also. Jon while im able to get your attention do you still want to do what we talked about for the last 6 months?
