The thread title had me fooled, I thought a nest was found with a parent brooding the eggs. I'm a bit let down but still, the nesting duck is very cool. I used to have muscovy ducks when I was a teenager and they hatched eggs as well. Hopefully I get to do that again some day. You'll have to keep us updates, I look forward to seeing the chicks.

Yeah They have a talent for it. She is on 9 eggs I believe. I will show pics when they arrive

I had a female duck (I think it was a magpie) who bred with my male muscovy. She laid and sat on 22 eggs but my dog raided the nest and only eleven ended up hatching.

Last year she hatched 16 out of 17 and lost one duckling, but raised the rest sucessfully.
