;D Hey, I just found this site about a week ago. I have always loved dinosaurs, but did not start collecting the toys until a year or so ago.
I am an amateur artist, and when I am not drawing, I like to build model kits. A little everything, but mainly Sci-fi stuff. I convinced my wife to let me get the Tamiya 1/35 scale dinosaur kits, and started looking at some of the toys, trying to find some I could repaint and put in the kit.
The first thing I found was the Papo Stegosaurus. I was shocked, I had never seen a toy that represented ol' stego in an even remotely modern pose, and he was almost in scale to boot. I figured he would look good with the Brachiosor, so I got him, and the Papo Trike. After that, I started finding some of the new carnegies, and was pretty much doomed! ;D
I came across this site, 'cause my local hobby shop stopped ordering new shipments of ANYTHING, including dinos, and I NEED, NEED, NEED the new Papo Allosaurus. So I was searching the web for it, and came across the review on the blog, which led me hear. Where I discovered how many great figures I don't have, and have never heard of before. ( Battat Diplo **sighs longingly*).
so, here I am. Doomed. ;D
Some of my stuff, Dino and not. ( I LOVE posting pics...)
The Fine Molds Millenium Falcon. Now I know what a 4oo dollar kit is like to build. Which is good, "cause my wife says it will be the ONLY one.
A battered old model of Disney's Nuatilus...
A 1/350 scale Enterprise-A, and a Colonial Viper
