Came across this on Paleoblog. This is cool, and potentially really cool. Deinocheirus has always been one of those mystery dinosaurs that you have to wonder about.

Oh my gosh, that is some of the coolest news I've heard in a long time. Deinocheirus has always been one of my favorites, and I can't wait to definitively hear what it is!

I remember reading about that find as a kid -- cool that we might finally see more illumination on it!
My bet's on something kinda like Gigantoraptor.

The arms are very basal looking for an Ornithomimosaur. Even more primitive than Pelecanimimus, or any of those recent ornithomimids. And we all know Ornithomimosaurs could reach large lengths, such as Gallimimus. If they found an oviraptorosaur 3 times bigger than the biggest known oviraptorosaur known back then (Citipati, I believe), it's not hard to imagine an ornithomimosaur twice as big as Gallimimus.
Don't forget Gigantoraptor also has some very primitive characteristics.

/\ Good point, Gigantoraptor's discovery was very unexpected.

I hope they find evidence of feathers. They won't, unless is Velociraptor-style quill knobs or an amazing fluke like Shuvuuia. Desert sandstone is terrible for feather preservation. It's still unknown whether or not ornithomimosaurs even had feathers. Still, this would be really badass if they find a good deal more of the skeleton. Can I hope for a skull? I've been waiting for this since I was 7, so no high expectations or anything

Trex should be worried, he might become #2 bad lizard. This little dinosaur compared to Rex? What fantasy that would be, eh?
