The main body is a perfectly cylindrical tube, more like a miserable fat sausage than a pliosaur I thought of a prehistoric dildo when I got the Krono I really had no idea--Realm of Rubber dinos has a pretty in depth discussion of the figure (and the others) www.rubberdinosaurs.com/invicta-latecomers.htm#troodonwhere it mentions the extra copyright holder. Who appraently caused an uncommonly made figure (and wildly inacurrate one at that) to be very rare. It appears that the Troodon was sculpted by another company. I bet they didn't come to an agreement, the other company sued and Invicta had to retire it.

As a troodon/steno2nychosaur, not so much. But I guess it means one more surprisingly valuable and rare figure.

;D ;D ;D ;D Thanks! That made my day! I really love the krono! Wow, the paint details is just amazing! You should have been a dinosaur toy paint designer! When I said 'trading" what I meant was for double figures. I won't give up any of my single favorite ones, but I would give some of the doubles. I am also looking at it as an art deal, not just repainted figures. Like any art, it's the artist work and not mine. So if you are interested, I can send you some doubles, for free in exchange for one special repainted figure of my choice ( I provide that figure of course). Hmmmm? Thanks again for sharing your impressive work of art ;D

I have no problem painting your extras. Would be fun. Trading for painting is an interesting concept. I am finishing a carnegie Kronosaurus this week, and thinking on the Elasmo. I have many done, and I am thinking of posting pics of the finished ones in a thread in collections. Then you can see what you think. My friend has the Troodon, would die before giving it up. ( hehehe, starts plan in motion...). I looked them up, and troodon is supposed to be fairly rare isn't it? I'd love to have more swimmers of any type, perhaps an Icthyo...*sigh* I am also a big stego fan..... ;D Oh, and just so y'all know, I grew up with Brontosaurus, and prefer it, Just trying to sound like I know what I'm saying...Whatever the name, it is still the same ol' dino to me. ;D The Troodon (actually, Stenonychosaurus) is a very rare one--I believe it was the last one they made, and by that time there were several other companies around to compete. I finally got one, a collector friend from a long time ago returned the favor ( I gave him, as a gift, a figure he really wanted... looking back now I regret it since it was one of those large playvision mammals) and sent me the Invicta Troodon he got in a garage sale. So I now my collection is complete ;D

You know, if you guys are interested in Invicta, I have a bunch of them sitting in a box on the East Coast. When I visit my family over Christmas, I'd be up for trading them. I know I have a Rex, Stego, a bunch of sauropods, Iguanodon, and maybe a Megalosaurus. It's been awhile since I looked.

Sadly, they are not painted -- these predate the "painted" versions considerably.
I'm flying to the East Coast tomorrow, and I'll try to take a look that night or the night after.
The ones I remember (with the caveat that some may not be included if I don't feel the fig is in good shape): Iguanodon Diplodocus Cetiosaurus (maybe?) Brachiosaurus T-Rex Stegosaurus Wooly Mammoth Megalosaurus

I'd be interested in the diplodocus, or any sauropod, really. Or the Lambeosaurus. *sigh*

Wow, you have extra Invictas that you can afford to paint, while I don't have a singe Invicta. Beautiful, though! No Invicta for me either!

Was a huge bump of this thread really necessary?
