This is my first kaiyodo. The front flippers were missing, so I made new ones out of clay, and repainted it.

Not bad at all ;D maybe a clearer picture? I really would love to see your figure better and also see how you did the flippers. I just acquired a Horizon Elasmo model I found in a thrift store when I dropped off some donations. It's been started, but it was really badly done! It was just for $1.50, so I decided to buy it and see if anyone can offer a suggestion on how to fix him up. The problem is that the original owner did not cut the pieces very well, so many gaps! They also used super glue to try and attach the pieces. I never played with models, so I have no clue. It is a nice looking model if I can fix it and repaint it. Ps. Sorry CT, You comment on fixing your figure just offered the opportunity for me to ask for help Are you feeling better?

You, know, I know someone who can help you with that.... Is it made of resin or vinyl? Either way, super glue is the way to go. Or something stronger. If it is vinyl or regular plastic, the gaps can usually be fixed with a putty. Several hobby shops will sell it. It is like a putty, that dries hard. After the gaps are filled, the piece can be filed and sanded smooth. Then, just proceed to paint. A primer spray might be a really good idea, especially if you use the filler. A white or gray primer, depending on the final color you want to use. White is nice for lighter colors, or bright colors, Gray primer will tend to tone the colors down a bit..... If you have more questions, I would be happy to help you through it.

(Stupid camera! Not worth $50! ) As for the from flippers, I just made em out of clay, baked 'em, and stuck them on with glue. And yes, I am feeling better, thank you for asking.
