;D I like some of the information in the book but I'm not crazy about the illustrations feathers are not. I just feel his pictures don't give me any sense of reality! ;D

;D I like some of the information in the book but I'm not crazy about the illustrations feathers are not. I just feel his pictures don't give me any sense of reality! ;D Compare Luis Rey's illustrations to the ones on this site- www.raul-martin.net/there is a big difference between one who is an illustator and one who is an artist. Just look for the painting of the T-Rex wading through the swamp- or his underwater scenes- you feel you are really there. Raul Martin is one of the best of the paleo artists at putting his subjects IN the scene, with realistic lighting and atmosphere. He is one of my favorites for reality based paleo art. He may be more timid than some in his coloring, but he makes up for it in his grasp of putting you there in the landscape.

I like geckos- Raul is a good name for one. I haven't kept any reptiles since I was a kid, when i had garter snakes my brothers and i caught. I have wantedto get back into keeping some, but don't have the time really. I already have two dogs and three cats. I would love to have birds and an aquarium again as well, maybe some day when i have more time and money.
