Looks like the right scale, but Coelophysis and Plateosaurus lived on different continents. No prosauropods have been discovered in North America, so is the Coelophysis supposed to represent a different species?

Are you sure? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AnchisaurusI think the correct phrasing would be, "Is the prosauropod meant to be a different species?" To be fair, this started with WwD, which ends with the triumphant entrance of Plateosaurus. In late Triassic North America.

Sorry, my bad. I meant that there are no Chinle prosauropods, as that is where Coelophysis is from (I completely forgot about the east coast Triassic deposits). Soooo.....are either the Coelophysis or Prosauropod meant to be different species?

first lemme say sorry for the hugeness does anyone know how to resize images in iphoto? i'm was kind of going for a generic "this is the triassic period" i chose plateosaurus and coleophysis because there kinda the most popular dinosaurs from the triassic or at least the ones that most people know. and since the continents were all merged it can think of it as the coleophysis on there way to america! haha this image was the main inspiration for this jar: www.corzak.com/paleo/421_triassic.htm this whole series is pseudo scientific. i do alot of research but I try to make it look like was from a bigone era I don't rememeber that WwD i'm going to have to watch that

Yes Walking with Dinosaurs and many other pictures show Coelophysis and Plateosaurus together. First blood was suppose to be in Arizona where Coelophysic is found. Anchisaurus is from the early jurassic not the late triassic, and the closest remains would be Massachusetts. It was very small 6 1/2 feet and 60 pounds, nothing like Plateosaurus. It is now thought it is a sauropod rather then a pro-sauropod.

There, you have a diorama ready for the contest ;D Thanks! Yes the plant is alive, (i killed the first one ) all of the dioramas in the series from the carboniferous on are going to have live plants - i like how they look and i enjoy the aspect of the art never being the same because the plant grows / dies ect.) as for the Triassic diorama I just need to add a Megazostrodon and a Placerias and it will be done! i'm excited to have a diorama done that isn't just a bunch of cotton balls shoved in a jar (see #1..)
