Hi guys Sometime ago, one of the forum members, one of the moderators I think, asked me to post about the Salvat collection in here and I did. The Salvat collection is relatively misterious for most of collectors and good photos of each figure are hard to find so that's why I'm doing this thread. I have the whole set and usually find some extras for trade when collectors ask me to. To read about the collection, look here dinotoyforum.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=collections&thread=2016&page=1In this thread I'll post pics of each model. All pics were taken by me, from my complete set. Let's start! Tyrannosaurus rex Triceratops Spinosaurus Parasaurolophus Stegosaurus Pteranodon Dimetrodon Corythosaurus Elasmosaurus Diplodocus

So, that's it. Sorry for such huge sized pics, but I decided to keep them that size because couldn't find the thumbnail link on the site and because this way the smallest detail of this figures can be seen.
Some of you may wonder why I have such interest on this collection. They're basically knock offs of better museum lines or whatever other lines you can recognize looking at the photos.
This was the closest I could get to museum line figures lets say, 7 years ago. At the time they were sold I didn't pick them up, so I had a huge curiosity to see how many figures there were in the collection and which species were done. I didn't look at toy figures from other countries on internet untill 2005, so the Salvats were all that i got. Even now, they hold special place in my collection, because I hunted them online, one by one, untill complete the set.
Hope you like it, if you don't no problem... just enjoy seeing the photos.

Thanks for sharing these excellent photos, ikessauro! . I knew that they impudently copied other brands but not that there were so many nor that they also copied Schleich and Bullyland. It's great to have more information on these now by your thread.

Wow, never knew of these figures! The Spinosaurus is lame, but some of them, like the Deinosuchus, look quite decent! When did the line come out?

Oh, cool. And no, it isn't, it's a giant crocodile I've had since I was born, nearly. It's meant to be a Deinosuchus preying on the hapless Parasaurolophus.

These figures came out in 2000 and 2001 as magazine premiuns and are quite rare and obscure, and as far as I know, only sold in Spain, Portugal and Brasil.

Thanks for sharing these wonderful pictures! I already saw your pictures on Collectorsquest, but these are much better. It's an interesting line, Larami-like I guess, which isn't strange while the Larami's (or most of them) also are based on/copied from other figures (Invicta and Carnegie). I think some a pretty decent, like the Therizinosaurus and Ouranosaurus. I also like that strange and rather ugly pair of small Psittacosaurus's Nice job to collect the complete series!!

Salvat had absolutely no respect for copyright did they , and very nice collection ikessauro. That's true With the first magazine came a little brochure, with photos of the figures and what amazes me is the fact that they used photos of the original figures in some cases! You can recognize WWD figures or carnegie ones among the Salvats.... Craziness, don't you think?

Wow, never knew about these! Thanks for the info. I like how the Parasaurolophus is just a bent over version of the Carnegie, lol!

Thanks Ikessauro for these photos. In my opinion, the best of the whole set are (in that order): 1. Acrocanthosaurus (In fact i am using this one within my Battat collection to replace the real battat acroc, which runs away from me) 2. Postosuchus (Black-face version of the WWD one) 3. Gallimimus (Battat Galli enlargened) 4. Maiasaura (Carnegie knock-off in olive green)
