This is the thread where you can talk about which new dinosaur taxa you want to see released, and from which company. Let's have some fun with this!
Paleozoic Life: Let's face it, the only gorgonopsid ever released (as far as I know) was the Lycaenops from the JP line, so let's see some more! What if Safari were to release a Paleozoic line? (Scutosaurus, Edaphosaurus, Gorgonops, Moschops, Estemmenosuchus, the obligatory Dimetrodon...mmmm) I know that Safari released a Dunkleosteus last year, but I want to see Schleich make a Dunky. Their craftsmanship is so unique!
Dinosaurs: Let's see an Einiosaurus, from ANYbody, please!
Marine Reptiles: Since Schleich's few marine reptiles were so awesome, let's see some more! Schleich Cryptocleidus, anybody?
Pterosaurs: Pterodaustro, for sure!
Prehistoric Mammals: I won't lie, I love me some Schleich, so let's see more additions to their prehistoric mammal line! How about a Megaloceros? Basilosaurus? Ambulocetus? Homotherium? Dream a little dream with me here!
Now let's hear your guys' hopes and dreams.

I'm sick of having tons of Dimetrodon. I need them to be complimented by Edaphosaurus. I'd welcome a non JP Estemmenosuchus from any easy to find line. For dinosaurs, I've stated before that we need more Hadrosaurs, such as Saurolophus, Lambeosaurus, Edmontosaurus and Anatotitan. Stop giving us Parasaurolophus for a while and make these guys instead. Ornithomimosaurians are needed, credit going to Battat and JP for giving us good Gallimimuses. I'd welcome a good Cryolophosaurus, and other tetanurae that are not Spinosaurus. We also need more ceratopians that aren't Styracosaurus or Triceratops. Something like Einiosaurus, Pachyrhinosaurus or Centrosaurus would make my da. Pterosaurs...eh...well...I'll be happy with a good and proportional azdarchid. For Marine reptiles, I'd take some actual pliosaurus, like Dolichorhynchops.
Prehistoric mammals...um. No. Thanks, but no. Mammals suck. Humans suck. Long live the Mesozoic!

A large set of Edicaran and Cambrian fauna!
Placoderms!
Big fat temnospondyls!
Prehistoric sharks!
Primitive Archosauria! Erythrosuchidae and Rauisuchidae.
Big beautiful Sphenacodontidae! (other than Dimetrodon; a Safari Sphenacodon would make me very happy, but we need a Haptodus and a Ctenospondylus, too) Other primitive synapsids would be great: I can't believe nobody has done a Cotylorhyncus!
A large, THOROUGH set of well-done marine reptiles, we need the basics: decent Liopleurodon, Plesiosaurus, Ichthyosaurus, Ophthalmosaurus, Elasmosaurus, Tylosaurus, Mosasaurus. I would love to see a Prognathodon, my favourite mosasaurid; what else? Simolestes, Megalneusaurus, Pliosaurus, you name it.
As for Theropoda. An Acrocanthosaurus as good as the Battat version. Cryolophosaurus, Tyrannotitan, Carcharodontosaurus.
Man, a Basilosaurus would be so awesome!

We do need more Archosauromorphs...

Dude tomhet, an exclusively marine reptile line would ROCK! Nothosaurus, Mixosaurus, Archelon, Metriorhynchus, etc...

..Rhomaleosaurus!
and any plesiosaurs that are not Plesiosaurus or Elasmosaurus. Those two have had their time.
I'm with you guys on the marine reptile front.
I'd also like to see a new Mamenchisaurus

Those are some of my favorite sauropods. We need them with vertical necks, or 45 deg. necks. A new mold. I haven't even bought the old Mamenchisaurus. It's just one of those dinos that don't elude you, and yet you never...decide to buy it. Looks odd.

I agree with all these wonderful posts about the variety that is needed in some of the lines....(honestly carnegie MORE therapods?) So I will put my 2 cents into what I would like to see in the different lines.
Carnegie: I made a post about this earlier, however I'll post about what Im surprised they havent released yet. Ichthyosaur, Ceratosaur, Gallimimus (or other), or a compy type model. You gotta realize it took them what 15 years or so to make an ankylosaurus, and thats one of the marque type dinos IMO.
Schleich: I'd like to see them quit retiring over 1/2 their d**n figures and remolding T-Rex!
Papo: their still relativly new so I expect them to keep doin the "popular" dinos for a while. But I belive they could do a kick ass Carnotaurus or Tylosaurus.
Bullland: their kind of in the remodoling phase too, but they do have some of the more obscure animals: Arizonasaurus anybody?
WOuld I would like to see the MOST would be a line that did models based on the old dinosaur movies from the past. Think Ray Harryhauson, Jim Danforth, Willis Obrian type models.

Oh my lord...a Papo Carnotaurus! Carnotaurus is by far my favorite theropod. We can only hope!
What's with the mammal hatin' emperor? You're missing out on 65 million years' worth of evolution there! I can't be the only one who would love an Uintatherium? Or another Deinotherium?

I can't be the only one who would love an Uintatherium? Or another Deinotherium? 65 mya of evolution produced us, and we've turned the Earth into an undesirable planet to live in. Ok ok. If I had to take something that's not reptilian, I'd take a Xipactinus, or a good ole Pterygotus. If its after the Mesozoic...I'd take... Umm... Sorry. I can't procure anything that would interest me that's after the Mesozoic. They just don't...interest me. I'd rather welcome armored fish. Or lingula.

Human origins go way back beyond 65ma. I think Earth is a pretty desirable place to live, I mean, if given the choice of planets in our system to live on, I'd probably pick Earth. it sounds like you just don't like hairy things. ;D

I am searching for any ancient whale figures. There is already one--and only one--basilosaurus figrue by medicom of Japan. Does anyone have it for trade or sale? Or know where to find one?

Prehistoric whale figures are a real rarity - I don't know of any.
We should create a new company and produce all the figures that collectors really want. You know, whales, marine reptiles, feathered dinosaurs...
;D
