they really don't look similar at all, besides the fact that they are both canotaurs. Believe me. You saw one in real life? You lucky person you. ;D Just by the pictures I've seen, they look similar. Well they have the same stride and open mouthed head turn. They also have that same curved tail tripod thing, and I expect they are of roughly equal size. So on a lot of superficial levels, they are similar.

The battat is a little bit bigger. How do you know this? ^ Sounds rude, but I'm genuinely curious.

Theri, check out my collection pics to see my carnegies and other dinosaur toys. I've looked at your wants list, but most of the stuff you want I want, so I think you better look through my catalog ;D. I have many, many new acquisitions, so it won't be up to date, but its the majority.

Unfortunately theri does not have any extra (that I know of ;D) Battat Acro he can trade with my entire theri collection! ;D Why am I cursed with that particular figure? I am starting to take it personally ;D So theri, why did you not bid on that Colorata theri? I ended up biding on it since there was no bid, I did not want to miss out if you were not interested. I will let you know how it looks once I get it.

There's also the Disney Carnotaurus And the British Natural History Museum Carnotaurus. The Toyway series are all 1:40, which is the same scale Battat and Carnegie use. But I've seen this figure in person, and it's a good bit smaller than at least the Battat. hmmm, maybe I should get it to pair with the grey Carnegie Carnotaur for some sort of diorama.

I was away that day and I accidentally forgot. Pics would be great, though! Thanks! I hate when that happens! The same thing happened to me with the Yowie and kaiyodo sharks that Piltdown had up on auction. I left town and forgot to place a bid. When I got back the auction ended with no bids! I contacted him, but someone already got to him first! Well, I'm glad that 'someone" was tomhet and not somebody else who is not a member ;D Looks like tomhet is building up an army of sharks! That would be cool. Hey tomhet, I found these contemporary shark models that are small but good looking models. I will pick some up and post a photo of them and see what you think. They are very inexpensive, around $.60 cents a piece. I think there were 8 different ones. Great figures to add to your armada of sharks! ;D

And yes, the army of fishes is ever increasing! As for the Disney Carnotaurus, that's a figure I would tamper with, I hate pink ;D

Some Battat sculpts look pretty rough to me. Some are Beautiful. Quality does seem to vary. I think there is a tendency to love Battat, even if you truly don't, just because they are such a "holy grail" to most. The question is which is best, and I think that the dinotale one at least has a less clumsy look to it.Battat may look better in person, but ya know I'd repaint it. That red is too bright. And their paint seems heavily laid on and shiny, so from photos it is tough to tell quality of detail. just saying. The Battat figures are truly nice figures and not just because they are rare and highly sought after. If you can see them in person, you will see that attention to details is there. They really did a good job on making sure that the figures were scientifically accurate at that time (1990"s), and they were. It remains as my favorite group: The dynamic pose, vivid colors, and species representation is still to be matched IMHO. There is many ways to look at theline and to judge it. It is interesting to note that the Battat line is the only line that was exclusively dinosaurs, no pterosaurs, marine reptiles, or mammals in the line.

^ Cuz dinos are the best things ever, why would you foul up a line with pterosaurs and marine reptiles? ??
