As a good companion piece to the Allosaurus,a model of it's contemporary rival Ceratosaurus would be a very good idea for a display of Jurassic meat-eaters.(How's that for a convincing excuse to have my childhood favorite dinosaur made?)
(And yes I said RIVAL,"Jurassic Fight Club" makers!!! Not LUNCH!!!)

The pose is fine. There is nothing wrong or controversial about it. I have seen more than one piece of art like it, including at least one sculpture, somewhere. It is not radical it is fine. Good. Good and fine. I think something that's controversial is whether or not the hips would have broken. And I think what blade said before hits the spot. The lower body appears to be straining, while the upper body is just "there".

^I am definitely going to make Ceratosaurus at some point- how could I not? One of my favs- with that nice horn on its snout and those big teeth-
As for the scratching allo- I just want to remind that so far all i have posted is a photo of the very first initial roughed in sculpt- try not to get too carried away in analyzing it yet- wait till it takes on more refining and pose consolidation- it will be changing quite a bit when i do so-

Sorry....not trying to get carried away myself.. just making observations...even if I may have re-iterated them to death...lol I know it's a rough sculpt and it's no where near final... but I'm also commenting on the artwork your using for a basis and critiquing it a bit . ;D Def need to do a Ceratosaurus.... I love Allosaurus..but Ceratos have my respect as well..they were the top therapod with horns forever...until Carnotaurus came along and kind of stepped in with the popularity...I really like both equally.

You could still incorporate the laying or sitting Allos though...maybe instead of " just found " they " just finished eating " ?
That way there are a couple alphas sitting around watching the younger pack members scavenge and fight over bits and pieces. The piece above is just a sub adult looking over some of the remains...you would have the drama going on and also a family/pack behavior incorporated that really stands out...what do you think ?

I agree that there really is no reason that there coudn't be some resting while others would be still tearing at the carcass-I guess though for now, that the ones around the carcass will be done first- I will probably just make different allosaurs in various poses and let the collector decide which they wanted as they would be sold individually anyways- I am going to make sure that any of these in the pack would be able to stand alone on its own merits individually, without needing the others, yet will work well interacting with each ohter-

Which dino breed gets to play the lucky carcass?

A smaller maybe 1/2 sized youngster trying to steal the meat from its mummy would look cool.

Will these be sold as a pack or separately? I will be offering these individually-that way the collector can decide how large their pack would be-
