I didn't mean it to sound like you weren't using the skeleton...sorry if it sounded that way.
The pics Boki posted look all around great...some looked rougher that I was expecting due to casting I guess.

No problem then, I've been having some issues around here and I'm afraid it comes through what I'm saying on occasion.
We can't wait to see this guy done...I told my younger cousin to start saving for them...he wants the whole Spinosaur family as well..lol ;D

If you haven't gotton too far into it, I have a pose I'd like to see for the Sucho : If you perch that little fish on a small piece of clear resin it would be an excellent accessory as well... Also this piece was approved by the paleontologist that discovered Suchomimus, showing some nice skin details and spines : www.faficop.br/mhnatural/resenha/dinorama/images/photo_spin.jpg[/img]

I second the Sucho pose, fish or no.
Are we going to get to see the armatures for the other spinosaurids soon, Malcolm?

Actually, for the Sucho, maybe a pose that's even more extreme - head even lower to the ground with arms spread to either side in a stay-out-of-my-territory pose.

I would prefer that as a pose he would use more for a therapod like an Allo instead..I did something similar used for a Baryonyx before...except it was rearing up arms out and claws spread protecting two juveniles behind it.

Since the pose was used in WWD, I can understand that, but I think it would be more impressive in a spinosaurid because it would accentuate the length of the arms relative to the body.

I think that would be a neat paint scheme for a sucho too...

Prob more complex than Malcolm would like...but I can certainly do it myself... ;D

Hey dinonikes, why don't you make "interlocking" bases for all of them, so the whole "family" can hang out together in a realistic environment?

Neat idea, but not something I'm in favor of for a few reasons :
1) reduces displayability by conforming it to only one pattern 2) reduces the viewing angles

Also, many of these toys far exceed the size of their bases, so locking the bases would be a serious challenge, particularly if you wanted it to look good and not just a jumble 'o dinos.

That's like with the Sucho pose above I liked, it's base could be water using acrylic and the fish just be on it's own tiny base using it as well....then it would be easy to move and if collects so chose could use the fish with their Pteros or other pieces as a neat accessory...

I wondered if you were still planning the Spinosaurs or not. I like this guy..pose feels similar to the Dinosauria statue without being an exact copy. I still prefer the spikes and spines to my Spinos..the " hoary " look as it were. Maybe this one gets done you try the Suchomimus again..no one has yet to do him any justice as a figure.. ...and I do have just the pose..

Yes, I actually started a 1/40 Suchomimus and a Baryonyx as well- I plan on starting a 1/15 Suchomimus too- ever since my last trip up to the Kenosha Dinosaur Discovery museum where they have a nice cast skeleton of a Suchomimus it has made me want to do one- and 1/15 scale would be best for doing the head with that mouth of teeth

A good 1/40 Sucho and Bary would go well with the Spino still..to show the group off and the differences between them. Suchomimus just feels like the underdog to me..it was actually going to be used in place of Spinosaurus for JP3 but then some fossil material was found for Spino or something and they ditched him for the now uber-popular sail-backed beast. A 1/15 eh ? Sweet ! I highly doubt Sideshow will do a Suchomimus....just too similar. I've been bugging Galileo to do one but so far no luck...I think. So I would def love to have a larger Sucho...if you can just get it in that leaping for the fish pose : I just loved that image..so much action. ;D
