Thanks for the spino love- yes it has teeth jutting out up and down from the mouth-working on the teeth now, last to do to finish it really-
I am one of those in the theropods didnt have lips crowd- I worked once with Dr. Carr, one of the two paleontologists who wrote the paper on Bistah., he made a pretty convincing case for the no lip argument, that the mouths/teeth were more like crocs or alligators. He explained it to me because he was having me grind off the lips from the Rush/Gregory Paul Dilo I did for the Dino Disocvery museum. So i don't put lips on thropods for him I guess. Plus there are a couple theropods like spino that just dont seem like lips could possibly work over their teeth-ceratosaurus is another-and I dont believe there would be a few exceptions to the rule- so I dont think any of them had lips- plus the upper teeth exposed over the lower jaw when the mout his closed looks so much cooler than the mouth closed no teeth, lips look- just my opinion influenced by Carr
I actually kicked the length up to 16 inches when I redid the spino-the original version was 15, the one shown at the begininng of the thead- that one got tossed when I moved- this is Spino 2.0 which was a total redo from scratch

I knew you mentioned it was a redo..just wondered if you had kept the size..going up is no problem for me though.. ;D Even if some theropods had lips..like you said..Spinosaurs I don't think could have managed it..or Ceratosaurs..and even Dilos also have those long teeth so lips would be a problem there as well. I have to admit..it also does look a heck of a lot cooler.. Just don't put any Tyrannosaurs in F-14's though.. ;D

Wow, amazing Malcolm! As wonderful as your sculptures have always been, they seem to be improving with every piece! The skin texture, for example. Nice work, so pleased to see you making these again. I WILL send you that check for the Kronosaur, once I return from a family vacation to the Oregon coast.

Love it! I also like that it has it's mouth shut. LOL Like tyrannosaurs, I thought they ran around with their jaws flapping open. ;D

Wow..you disappeared there for a bit and return with this..NICE comeback ! ;D lol
The teeth design does look interesting..most spinosaur reconstructions tend to assume the teeth would somehow just magically fit into the upper mouth.

I think Calvin and Hobbes pretty much summed it up in the last panel....lol Like a LOT of things are.. it's so COOL ....but also so stupid...heh heh The cool almost outweighs the stupid in the case of T-Rexes in F-14s though... ;D

Nice..I should know better than give Niroot any ideas..eh what the heck , let's ruin that eyesight together ! ;D Well, as I am too late to try tackling David Orr's 'Interspecies Conflict Wishlist', I may as well take up the tricycling Triceratops challenge... ;D And I mustn't forget to say: beautiful Spinosaurus, Malcolm!
