Wow cool stuff! Really love that dilophosaurus! The glowy eyes are very sinister.

Nicely done ! Are you going to color the rest of it ? I'm currently redoing my big JP Raptor and I'm considering making it a JP3 version...this would make a good piece for me to go by..

Sweet ! I needed a color reference for the male ! ;D
Query, doesn't the male have the little knobs running his head and back too ? I thought it was the same sculpt used for both male and female just diff paint jobs and the feathers on the male ?

Your right, i didn't pay enough attention to the auction images i used. Thanks for that, i might just redo the male raptor, because in my opinion it pales in comparison to the female i just compleated. and if they did use the same mold but just painted them differently i could do a mash up of the two images and create the male.

No problem, I'm altering my LW Male Raptor to look like a JP3 Male and have been looking at way too many pics..that's really how I noticed..lol
I'm almost certain that's what they did..from what I can tell they look identical except for eyes, coloring, and the proto-feathers of the males.
I really lament the fact they never did a Making of JP3 book..so many great reference pieces .

it really is a shame, i think having the first 2 making of's was the reason why im so into dinosaur art, there has to be many more concept sketches that need to see the light of day, hopefully in the new JP box set.

Yeah but it will be Blue Ray..and sad to say I don't have a player yet.. There has to be lots of stuff besides what little is shown in the Winston Effect book.

Looking really good! I like how you made the scales, specially in the first one.Nice colours too. Have you considered doing more "accurate " dinosaurs instead of only the JP versions? sort of like that Baryonyx.

I definitely have, right now im a bit iffy on dino musculature so i tend to draw from sources, i did a rex that i used a skeletal and muscle reference, its on one of these pages, but i'd like some suggestions on some different dino's to draw. So i can build my portfolio even more
