I think the chubby t.rex is supposed to be the character GON from the manga books of the same name.

It must be GON . I had some of his books once. They were extremely detailed.

My son had one about 6 years ago from a TRU set. I think it's a pretty generic toy mold that gets reused in lots of cheap sets made in China.

Can anyone tell me about this dinosaur? The species and maker? It's very small and is a softer, plastic, almost rubber material. No identifying labels anywhere. Thanks!

I think that it might be a knockoff of an older dinosaur toy. It sort of looks like the Marx Trachodon, except the hands are different. Might just be a chinasaur which took inspiration from that toy.

It's the JaRu Trachodon. Which is a company that knocked off both Mark and MPC, plus created some of their own oddities. I swear, we need a special page dedicated to those figures, because we frequently get questions about them (which is odd, because they are neither rare, nor expensive, nor particularly sought after--except maybe the Uintatherium).

Hey guys
I'm just curious about why Papo does mark their models with serial numbers (like 55001 for the original green rex) that aren't sequential. They did it untill 2006, because started like this:
2005 T.rex 55001 Triceratops 55002 Velociraptor 55003 Parasaurolophus 55004 2006 Pachycephalosaurus 55005 Pteranodon 555006 Stegosaurus 55007
And then, in 2007, they jumped all the way to 55011 with the Spinosaurus. That's not a very important info, but I'd like to know if anybody knows why is that like it is and also, I need to know the number of the Old original Mammoth (Steppe Mammoth). Does anyone know it? I have found 39703, but doesn't know if it is correct.

This isn't really the right thread for this information--this thread is meant for identifying figures that people have, but don't know who or what they are. But to answer your question, the numbers are just for stock purposes. The Steppe Mammoth is 39703.

I just felt it wasn't necessary to create a new one just for this little info. If you can tell me which year the original mammoth was released, I'd be glad and you could delete these posts if necessary.

Does anyone know what book this illustration is from? I really want to know. I found it floating around the net. I know this is a not a toy, but I honestly didn't know where else to post this kind of thing....sorry IMO, a gorgeous illustration, even if it is a tail dragger
