Here are the Euoplocephalus, Maiasaura, and Carnotaurus. These three are my latest Battat acquisitions. I got them from the same guy that I got the Gallimimus, Dilophosaurus, and Parasaurolophus from. The money came from both profits from selling off spare figures as well as money rewarded to me for things that I will not disclose here.

Here is the shelf where I keep all my Battat dinosaur fiures. Originally, I had my Battat figures amongst my other figures on my main dinosaur shelf. However, as my number of Battats and other figures grew, it became clear that this would not be feasible for much longer. A few months ago, I acquired a neat little shelf, so it occurred to me to place all my Battats in it. Above the top shelf: The first shelf (theropods): The second shelf (herbivores): The third shelf (thyreophorans and Pachycephalosaurus): Well, it's been a heck of a year of dinosaur collecting. Currently, I have this shelf on my desk. Sometimes, I sit back, and wonder how I got all of these in only one year. It's a feat that I doubt that I will ever match again. Nonetheless, my Battats are amongst my most prized figures in my collection, and I hope to get the whole collection one day (a guy can dream, right?).

I like the way you have them displayed, not too crowded.

It may not be apparent in the pictures, but the shelf is actually very close to being crowed. I have to arrange the figures carefully to make sure they don't rub against each other.

Wow,the way you arrange stuff and talk about collecting is so similar to mine. I guess it's all about the age! ;D I am a big fan of your displays already, but how do you manage to keep all the dust away from them? I have to enclose my replicas in vitrines in order to keep them clean.

With the Battats, it's quite self explanatory. The shelf keeps away most dust. With the others, I have no idea. While a few of the larger figures (mainly the sauropods) collect some dust, most of my figures don't.

It's weird that I've never seen any Battat merchendise here in East Canada. Can anyone tell me a little more bout that manufacturer which I never had the chance to discover?

Battat itself is a toy company based near Lake Champlain in New York state if I remember correctly. The dinosaurs were sculpted by professional paleo-artists Dan Lorusso and Greg Wenzel, and the line was made for the Boston Museum of Science. They were discontinued around 2001 I think. Even when they were in production, from what I heard they weren't too common to be found even in the U.S.

I'm very envious of how easily you acquired those Battats, I have none and have yet to find any cheap ones on eBay. I guess the hunt continues...

I'm afraid my collection has become rather disorganized by this point. But here are some pictures of goodies for you all. Missing Links Woolly Rhino, Bullyland Gompotherium, and Bullyland Neanderthals with weapons: Sideshow Apatosaurus: Grey Sega T. rex:

I found a site selling it last summer. It was something like $16. I think they don't have them anymore though.

I'm afraid it's grown rather disorganized. I desperately need new display space.
