I just got the news today what dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures CollectA will release in the middle of 2011. - Hatzegopteryx - Rhomaleosaurus - Irritator - Lourinhamosaurus - Liliensternus - Utahraptor - Ornithocheirus - Torosaurus - Plateosaurus - Dacentrurus - Concavenator - Ampelosaurus - Alamosaurus - Attenborosaurus - Australovenator Attenborosaurus! My favorite plesiosaur Awesome. Let's hope it's one of their better ones. Hopefully it makes a great companion to the Hydrotherosaurus. That is one heck of a list. I do wonder which ones are Deluxes, and which ones are standard line.

I really hope they make a good Rhomaleosaurus. That's one of my favourite fossil casts to see at the NHM.

The potential is only limited by whether they approximate "Jobaria quality" or "Spinosaurus quality" Procons. ;D My hunch is that, as last year, the number of good figures will continue to grow in 2011 as a percentage of the releases. So probably half of them will be good, with 2-3 "must haves." Then again, I could be wrong, and they could ALL be well-done. Could be the first decent Torosaurus PVC ever issued by anyone. And ... a DELUXE Hatzygopteryx perhaps??? We can hope!! That is one heckuva list!

You know what would be cool, is if CollectA would actually produce museum quailty sculpts for these instead of the hodge-podge of more or less crap that we usually get from them. Sadly, I don't think we'll see a change in quality. I would LOVE to be proven wrong by them, though! IRRITATOR!!!!!!! Same here

The Jobaria was still a little oddly shaped though

I don't have any pics yet, but I will try to get some.
As far as I know the prototypes of all the listed figures will be presented at the end of October.
Maybe I can get some pics of the new figures a little earlier.

Cordylus:
I agree about "Sue's Torosaurus" but its so small I didn't count it. Is Shleich is the one with the frill melted to its back?
As far as the WWD Torosaurus goes, its one of my biggest disappointments ever.
Granted the WWD figures didn't have motion, but they are all good representations of the creatures in the series - except for the Torosaurus.
Someone decided to give it a short "Parrot face." Its the only way I can express it. Its the only "whiff" of the WWD toy series, which hit quite a few homeruns.

Cool list. Yes, I also hope they're improving their quality. Wasn't someone here already expecting Concavenator would be released as a toy figure or was it just my imagination?

Ornithocheirus!!! ;D
but, can Procon even make a good Pterosaur?!? I was kinda hoping that WS would make an Ornithocheirus, though (I'm very pleased with the WS Rhamph, Tapejara and Pterosaur replicas!!)

Also, who wants to bet that the Torosaurus is a re-release of their Triceratops?

Hatzegopteryx I am the most interested in seeing. I wonder if it will be in flight or if it will be walking/standing.
Concavenator is being made and they didn't think to put any of the weird new ceratopsians in??? I was hoping for a Diabloceratops or Medusaceratops from them.

I'm doing a pterosaur happy dance!! If it is true, I'll have two new pterosaurs in 2011. I am eternally hopeful that some other company will release one also!!! I would love to see a ground striding figure instead of the standard flying poses. Hatzegopteryx I am the most interested in seeing. - Liliensternus - Utahraptor - Ornithocheirus - Torosaurus - Plateosaurus Walking with Dinos: Arena Show, anyone? I do hope they do better with these. Procon is just one of those companies that has a knack for getting their figures close, although not always close enough.

I don't see why you don't count it; it's very very well done and it's in scale with the sue tyrannosaurs so if you are worried about scale you can always just display it with them. I wouldn't call it "melted" - it's clearly been posed as if it is charging something or running away from something, so it's leaning it's head back. It's a very good figure. Ceratopsians tend to have "parrot faces" - have you ever met a psittacosaurus?

Its really too bad that the Miragaia is already found to be inacurate when it looks like such a promising figure. There is absolutely no excuse for Carnegie to make their Miragaia inaccurate. I mean, really, these guys must have been staring at the scientific illustrations and or paleoart for hours before they molded their model. It must have been a conscious move on Safari Ltd's part to not include the shoulder spike, otherwise it would amount to plagiarism. I would assume that the REAL reason for "modern" figures to include "pronated" arms is due to their (e.g Schleich, Papo, etc.) attempt to circumvent copyright issues.
