Are stegosaur feet now thought to be more pillar-like? Yes, the front feet are inaccurate, which I feared since I saw the first blurry catalog pic. I don't know if I'll get it, if the rest of the sculpt is good enough I think it might be passable.

I've never seen a stegosaur toy thought that *did* have accurate front feet... It seems more obvious on this one I guess because his legs are so long and slender.

The Favorite soft model Stegosaurus isn't completely accurate, but the feet (that is...hands) are slightly concave, so it's probably the leader right now when it comes to the stegosaur manus...

There's the Krentz Antediluvian Stegosaurus, of course. Though that's not strictly a toy...

No, I don't call it a toy either. Though some people may... ;D

Welcome, rsknol. I too am looking forward to the trees, and for much the same reasons (fish-store plastic plants go only so far). These look promising. I wonder, though, if you might not be the r. knol from whom many of us (myself, included) would cheerfully take lessons in diorama construction! If so, I owe you much for all the pleasure your articles have brought me. Thanks.

Thanks, Sbell. I was hoping he might be. I'm an absolute babe-in-the-woods when it comes to navigating computers, which is probably why I never noticed his name till now. Trying to follow all these threads only seems to get me further tangled in them. Short of Alexander's solution for the Gordian knot, I just don't see how an old dog like me is going to get any better at slogging through the maze. I recall seeing some really terrific stuff early on but can't seem to re-locate it. Nevertheless, I really enjoy both the blog and the forum. Thank you for your moderator efforts on our behalf.

Would be easy enough to add though.

Would be easy enough to add though. Not if the molding processes have already begun (which they probably have).

No problem. Support Carnegie - buy 2 Miragaias, then use 2 long spikes from one to make shoulder spikes on the other. Cut and paste should be pretty easy.

Its really too bad that the Miragaia is already found to be inacurate when it looks like such a promising figure.

What evidence is there for the shoulder spikes? Only some restorations seem to include them, and some don't.

You know what would be cool, is if CollectA would actually produce museum quailty sculpts for these instead of the hodge-podge of more or less crap that we usually get from them. Sadly, I don't think we'll see a change in quality. I would LOVE to be proven wrong by them, though! IRRITATOR!!!!!!!
