Any really large land animal today would be a mammal which isnt really fair to compare with a dinosaur color-wise. Even so like blade said there are some flashy ones like girraffes, okapis and zebras. I have nothing against loudly colored larger dinosaurs. Birds and reptiles use color to communicate no reason dinosaurs wouldn't have either. Then somebody is going to say "but they need to blend in" then im gonna say "sure but sometimes mating is more important" and then they are gonna say "nya!" and then im gonna say "booglyboogly boo!" Its just going to go on for pages and pages and pages. Lets try not to get into it. OMG. This had me laughing! May I please use your "booglybooglyboo!" in regards to dino colors, lol! I love it!!!! HAHAHA!!!! Thanks for this amazing insite into the subject

It basically speaks about the Exhibit " Dinosaurs in flesh and Bone" based in some artists work. The first model they featured was Kelenken the "Terror bird", and soon they will show another interesting and espectacular beasts like Therizino and Diabloceratops. Looks like the models are not painted (fortunately). Fabio Pastori art is amazing, just check his Da: paleopastori.deviantart.com/

From what I gather you can order them painted or not...if the paint jobs look as good as the Kelenken I wouldn't mind at all. I need exact sizes too though.. ;D

Safari 2012 preview catalog arrived today, and... wow. I can see some of the species you guys have been asking for, but they're so beautifully painted - one in particular will probably make people go crazy. Not sure if I should be sharing specifics yet, though. Do we have an official 2012 thread yet?

I bet is that you can't share pics yet... as much as I want to see them, I also don't want us to be in trouble with good old Safari ;D Unless, you get permission ;D

This was recently added to the website of the UK retailer Dinosaurtime.co.uk: So Favorite have released a resculpt of their 1:10 T. rex skull? Does anyone know if any of the others in the collection will be getting the same treatment? This one does look a lot better than its predecessor (which I own) - might have to get hold of it someday.

I am so on this one. I only wish that the head shields were not so horizontal. However some epoxy and a small saw can remedy that. ;D

One question: is the Bullyland Spinophorosaurus still available, in the catalogs? Every Spinophorosaurus I see on Ebay is incredibly expensive. Is its retirement the reason for such high prices?

One question: is the Bullyland Spinophorosaurus still available, in the catalogs? Every Spinophorosaurus I see on Ebay is incredibly expensive. Is its retirement the reason for such high prices? The Spinophorosaurus is still in production -not for the official Bullyland line, but exclusively for the Braunschweig Museum. This is its price in Germany: www.urzeitshop.de/Dinosaurier-Spielwaren/Museum-Braunschweig/Still a bit expensive for such a figure. I don't know for how much it is being sold at the museum. eBay seller chrislobe is well known for his unreasonable prices
