Non-Schleich dinosaurs are hard to come by in the UK too, as I've said before. By the way, got hold of the Favorite Collection Deinonychus, Allosaurus and Tyrannosaurus today. Plan on reviewing the Allosaurus soon. It's not as good as the Wild Safari version, alas. The best of the bunch is the Tyrannosaurus. The Deinonychus won't stand up without Blu-Tack - but at least it's feathered, I guess! Isn't the tyrannosaurus simply awesome?

Yes it is. Also, turns out the Allosaurus has been featured in the blog before, so I guess I'll have to go for the Deinonychus.

I'm sure the older review could be slightly edited with anything you might want to say.
Now that it's page 200, is it locking time?

there is only one store in my area off the top of my head I can think of that sells dinosaur toys that are not chinasaurs, or Schleich Jr. it's stupid. also, this toy store is downtown (30min bus ride away) and closes early XD ALSO, this toy store doesn't really carry the new releases from safari/carnegie anymore it appears... they got the dilong in when it was released, and I know they had all the papo dinos, but this month I wanted the new lio and they didn't have it, so I had to pay double what I would have had to pay in person just to have the thing shipped to me. AUGH. when I grow up I'm opening my OWN toy store. also it will sell fossils and minerals, gundam models, movies, candy, and video games. and also I will obviously be a millionaire at this point so my store will basically just have whatever I want in it. <_< When will you be grown up?

My closest educational store was 8 hours away in Seattle, Science art n' more. I went there for spring break last year...JUST to go in there, and it had...closed down. I think I cried. You guys are lucky that your local stores haven't shut down yet. There's one in Spokane 2 hours from me, but it only sells that stupid idiotic Papo 'Velociraptor'....
The thrill of the hunt died out. Videogames for stupid kids who grow up to be nobody with mushed up brains have won.

They have a lot of cool stuff, though they only sell Schleich's. I wax upset when they closed, but it turned out it was so popular that they hadn't closed; they just moved to an even bigger store!

An entire chain in Canada--Scholar's Choice--just went belly up, or at least declared bankruptcy, and it isn't the first one. I think educational stores are having a very hard time adjusting to a changing market.

Pet shops really??? Wow. I know theres a guy who has a booth at every Reptile show in White Plains NY who sells procons and schleichs. Actually, there's a fish store called Absolutely Fish in Clifton that sells Carnegies and maybe Wild Safaris. I remember seeing the Kronosaurus there once.

The closest stores (Michaels & Hobby Lobby) to me that carry Safari Dinosaurs is about an hour away, and they've just had the same few Wild Safari Dinos for some time. I wish that there was a store nearby that carried a good selection of Carnegies, procons, etc.!!!

Got my shipment from Dan. Here are some dinosaurs of varying scales jostling for space...have acquired 5 new ones in the last 2 days! Not so impressive to those of you who are able to just walk down the road and buy them, I'll admit.

Nice Haul. Isn't the brachio a beauty? And the styrac is also one of my favorites by carnegie. I think it has a lot of personality. What allosaurus is that?

Well, that's the Kinto Favorite 1:50 Soft Allosaurus. I call it "pouncer". Although mine keeps falling over. Cool figure though, one of my Favorites. Okay that was a pun. Or wordplay. Something like that.

Where do you get the Kinto Favorite soft models? It appears that Healthstones Hobbies has some, but they aren't in their new cart so I'm not sure if they still have them.

I probably shouldn't say where I get them as they're not a 'partner' and I'm a reviewer... But I will anyway. www.dinosaurtime.co.uk/ If admins dislike they'll edit my post...

Honestly, we don't care. Generally, we encourage members to share their sources--level the playing field, as it were. ;)Even if some of us are fairly close to Safari Ltd. and would like to remind everyone that none of the other brands is as good (tongue out of cheek now). ;D
