I wasn't going to buy any more dinos this month... but today I caved and got the small Schleich Allosaurus. Not bad at all - at least compared with the Trex from the same series.

I don't mean to be offensive. I just mean that... I hate the fact that I can go through entire movies I hate... I HATE 1960 AND 2005 VERSIONS OF THE LOST WORLD!!! AUGH!!!!! It has 1925 with it? I take it back! Too late now I am offended!!! lol as reparations I force you to watch the 1960's movie with me hahahahahah lol It is a horrible insult to the book I agree. and worse that the film makers abused those poor monitor lizards and alligators and actual let them fight and kill each other for a quick cheep special effects shot.

Finally! The T.rex Centre store finally received some of it's Safari order--meaning I have a lot of new mosasaurs, skull toobs and fossil toobs. And most of those are going to be taken apart and used in our programs (any individual fossil or skull requests? Speak up now before they are encased in plaster jackets). I also got one of my sample boxes. So I have now see the Kentreosaurus and Rhamphorhynchus up close--as well as the Sea Life toob. And holy crap, that toob is awesome. They are larger than normal toob figures, and much more detailed than, say, the Play Visions reptiles. When I have more time, I will photograph them side-by-side. They will stand up very well against their Dinotales counterparts though. I can't say enough how awesome these things are. I am really excited for the morning--I will be receiving the rest of my order, including the coelacanth, brachiosaurus and liopleurodon (the Carnegies and WS Apatosaurus are still waiting though). Also--I received my Neko Stethacanthus and Hybodus. They are pretty cool, although the Hybodus arrived missing the anterior dorsal spine (not just broken, it wasn't even in the package ). Of course, now I have to learn to paint...

Unfortunately that redundant fifth spine on the head is too small to be used as a prosthetic fin spine... ;D

Awesome! Looks like the paint colors and patterns are bit different than the original release version. Nice to see the newer sculpt.

I found this moses Stegosaurus today in the museumsshop of the Bonn museum "Alexander König". They have an exhibition there about Argentinian dinosaurs, very interesting, lovely displayed. And yes, super XXL Argentinosaurus was among them, too! They had some Schleichs and Bullylands around there, as well as these "moses verlag" dinosaurs. They had a Triceratops, this Stego and a Brachiosaurus. They range between museum line quality and cheap china stuff . The belly print reminds me rather at Invicta than Bully or Carnegie, it´s small. It also has a tag saying "Sammeltiere moses verlag". It says "Stegosaurus 2008 Ty Major Trading Co. Ltd.HK, China, Made in China" on the belly.
