Congrats. I am never that lucky in bidding. You're too cheap! ;D That can be part of it; the rest is timing. But yeah, you have to be willing to go nuts if there is something you really want.

I just won a Battat Ouranosaurus on eBay for $17.50! When there were 4 seconds left, one of the previous bidders almost outbid me but I beat his bid with a single second to spare! Jejeje, that was me! I messed up with the one-click bid feature, i did it so fast without entering correctly the intended amount and killed myself Good win. Around same time, I won Battat Galli, but I was not as lucky on the price as you.

Nice. Who is that poor executive fellow on the verge of getting trampled? Not easy to indentify him. He comes from a set of 1:50 scale figures by Preiser which contained statesmen and politicians (e.g. Queen Elizabeth II and former Minister President of Bavaria, Franz Josef Strauss). Could be that Preiser meant this figure to be John F. Kennedy. Looks not really like him but I guess the figures were modeled in the 60s or 70s (the set is still on the market if I remember correctly). Just at the moment I'm not sure who else this should be. During that time former German Chancellor Helmut Schmidt looked a little like the figure (only his hair was already more grey) but Preiser would at least have given him his iconic nautic cap he used to wear and perhaps a cigarette (he's 91 now and still chain smoker). ;D

But we know for certain he's a politician, aka the ultimate dinosaur prey item.

I thought the best dinosaur prey was bad lawyers and greedy businessman! You can't talk about my family that way. ;D I like him, especially when compared to the Schleich guy. I thought 1:72 was a more common scale for human figurines.

Normally civilian figures in 1:50 scale are less common. Actually this company, Preiser, makes human figures in 1:22.5, 1:24, 1:32, 1:43-48, 1:50, 1:72, 1:87, 1:100, 1:120, 1:144, 1:160, 1:200, 1:220 and I believe also up to 1:500. The variety is huge: www.preiser-figuren.de/

Sweet, thanks. Your collection is crazy, by the way. Thanks Dan. Honestly, it's only approx. 600 figures so far. Sometimes I'd like to know how many figures others have. Hey bokisaurus, sbell, can you still count them?
