Safari President set with Obamasaurus There's one to throw out ;D One of my employees desperately wants me to get him one in. I just can't do it. Of course, we are in Canada. And it isn't officially Obama--just a president. A black president. To reflect the usual ethnic diversity of US presidents... Makes you wonder--was there a McCain figure ready to go to? Because given his age, that would be a real dinosaur figure. HEY-YO! instantrimshot.com/

I bought Obama as a silly gift for my friends who are studying politics at college. That said, I do like him as a president (largely progressive worldview, not afraid to break new ground that needs to be broken) and as a human being (just a nice bloke to hang out with really). Now if he could just get those oil corporations to shut up and lose their grip over society... But I like the Cryolophosaurus more. Cryo for president!!

No more political discussions please Who was being political? I was just being funny. Or, if you prefer, 'funny' (hence the rimshot). I didn't intend for it to turn into anything more than a discussion of the minor ridiculousness of the figure (still better than the Papo knight with a full-size swan on his head...).

Sean--you're comments were fine, I laughed at the McCain fossil joke. I just thought that the actual references to policies and philosophies was a little too far: That said, I do like him as a president (largely progressive worldview, not afraid to break new ground that needs to be broken) and as a human being (just a nice bloke to hang out with really). Now if he could just get those oil corporations to shut up and lose their grip over society

Oil corporations are a philosophy now?

No, a progressive world view is a philosophy. I'm not saying I agree/disagree, I'm just saying that in the recent acquisitions thread I don't think there needs to be a political discussion. We've tried political threads before, they just don't work...

I guess you're right there. I'll shut up, I've made my political allegiance clearer than it needs to be I think.

Is that a Xiphactinus? What line does it belong to? Dinonikes retired line. If you are willing to wait a long, long time, you might still be able to convince him on one like that. The ones with lots of teeth--the theropods, tylosaur, etc, are not going to be available at all anymore (they take too much of his time). I know this because he was here at my museum yesterday, installing a display. I'll get picture up of it soon.
