The brown sega rex looks nicer than the grey one, but I'm still really turned off by all those sharpei-ish folds of skin.

What would be the point of the walking position? The ENTIRE draw with this piece is that it's rearing. It wouldn't look nearly as good in a normal walking position. For that you could just get the carnegie one.

The cernegie one is ugly, thats why. Shape's all wrong.

The tail could be longer and the front feet have the usual problem, but otherwise it's fine. The head is especially great.

Never had any problem with repainting over original paint. The only figure that I had trouble with paint sticking is ironically the unpainted Invictas ;D
I am still debating if I should paint my Deinotherium ( the plain white one) or leave it as is...

Boki, I totally agree with you about painting the unpainted Invictas. It's almost like painting over wax! But, eventually you can achieve a decent paint job. Just have to be very careful with them afterwords. The paint can nick very easily!

Yea, that was a huge score. Got it from ig88droid for five bucks. I've wanted it for so long and thought for sure I would lose the auction but there were no other bids!! Super stoked.

Another great dino weekend for me! Got my first (but not last!) Kaiyodo, thanks to Radman - the "zebra" colored Allo. Wow...
And my MPV models arrived (sooner than I expected). The big red Rex matches my Collecta reasonably well and luckily stands on his own without tail support, and the lopsided face doesn't bother me as much as I feared. The Great Dinos Velociraptor is actually very nice, but HUGE!

Yeah, I wonder why that is. Especially since the JPD3 repaint a year later (almost in the same box) said 'Tyrannosaurus Rex" in full. Weird.

Dip, I'm done with WWD, except for the Ornitho. Lio was the last piece of the puzzle, so I was willing to spend a bit more than usual. I might get a second Utahraptor though, mine keeps falling over.

Foxi, I only need 5 more figures from the JPD2/3 lines, and then I've got all JP figures (though I'm still missing the capture gear from the Gallimimus and a few collector cards). Only a matter of time...
