TGF came through for me once again (I love how quickly they ship, compared to some sellers) and I got... a box of weirdos! Collecta Megalosaurus - just to add weight to my "no good Megalos" argument - and a pack of K&M minis. Not incredibly gorgeous, but they'll all be used for my scary repainting/resculpting experiments. And I just had to get the new Collecta Medusa, now there's a lovely lady! ;D

Oh, wow, another dinosauria thing. They lose their essence after a while... I wonder how many more they'll do?

Oh, wow, another dinosauria thing. They lose their essence after a while... I wonder how many more they'll do? As most dinosaur figures do.

Congrats, Sepp and Mightyjptrex! Great closeups on the Sideshow diorama! It looks really great. Although, the teeth on the Velociraptor look a little too tan to me.

Oh yes, it is definitely an awesome piece! I was just getting a bit overly picky. It's just with the prices of sculpts like these, I want everything to be perfect, hehe. And their Spino is to die for!!!

My first new addition since joining the boards: Collecting all four issues of the Dinosaur comics released under Marvel's old Epic imprint. It's really astounding just how much of the art therein was plagiarized from other sources. The frontispiece is the cover artist's attempt at Mark Hallett's "Awakening of Hunger," Zdenek Burian's Gorgosaurus has been given a new Baryonyx head, and Gregory Paul's work is referenced to the point that I sort of feel like I got a second copy of "Predatory Dinosaurs of the World." The artists really ought to be ashamed of themselves. On the other hand, there's a six-page story about a Tyrannosaur family hunting a herd of Pachycephalosaurus illustrated by Luis Rey. That alone was worth the $10 I paid!

Then I will be crying for sure. I'm having to pay an astronomical customs fee practically amounting to the cost of the thing itself, which wasn't at all cheap to begin with. Thinking of what could have been done with that charge instead makes me ill. I suppose it serves me right for having to presumption to get it in the first place. I predict much tantrum-throwing when John lists all those things up. I also bought that Allosaurus, Postsaurischian. It will be a while before it arrives though. And I recently got the green Sega Trike too. By the by, great acquisition with that book, Tyrannosauron. I'm very curious to see it myself now.

To be honest, I don't mind paying the duty .................. what really bites is the £10 or so Royal Mail charge for the privilege Usually, it's more than the actual duty! Did you get the green Sega Trike from the shop I put a link up for a while back? Just curious to see if anyone followed this up and it's actually useful to people for me to link to sources

Yes, it's the import duty, VAT and handling charge/clearance fee altogether which hurt. Usually, I don't really mind it either, but this is the most I've ever had to pay for charges of this kind, and I've paid a lot on several occasions before. I felt like I'd been punched in the stomach when I saw the amount. I'd mention what that is, but it would be... indelicate. Yes, both the green Trike and brown rex were from the link you posted; so thank you!
