Who is this John fella? Yep, John Carlson who co runs Monstrosities Inc. Probably the nicest Ebayer seller I've ever dealt with. He's gone over and above helping me fill in some gaps on my vinyl Dinoland collection

Yes, it's the import duty, VAT and handling charge/clearance fee altogether which hurt. Usually, I don't really mind it either, but this is the most I've ever had to pay for charges of this kind, and I've paid a lot on several occasions before. I felt like I'd been punched in the stomach when I saw the amount. I'd mention what that is, but it would be... indelicate. Yes, both the green Trike and brown rex were from the link you posted; so thank you! Yep, I'm expecting a large customs charge on my latest figures from Monstrosities but I don't mind this time around as one of them is so rare I'm wetting my pants already I'm glad the link was useful. I don't usually post such things and only pass it on in PM's. The reason being that DTF is public and I'm loathe to help out lurkers who don't put anything back. Tis a community after all

Got my vinyl Camarasaurus there, among others.

I should just add that this parcel I'm speaking of isn't from Monstrosities Inc. And in any case, my moans were not directed at anyone -- not even the postal services or the customs office, who are after all doing their job -- but was a general wailing to the heavens at large from having to fork out so much. Enough money talk. I feel quite grubby now. *Makes self scarce*

Nice one If you're out of money you'd better stay away from John's Ebay site as I know what he's got left to list over the coming month ................... you'll end up crying, really you will! Then I will be crying for sure. I'm having to pay an astronomical customs fee practically amounting to the cost of the thing itself, which wasn't at all cheap to begin with. Thinking of what could have been done with that charge instead makes me ill. I suppose it serves me right for having to presumption to get it in the first place. I predict much tantrum-throwing when John lists all those things up. I also bought that Allosaurus, Postsaurischian. It will be a while before it arrives though. ..... and suddenly I'm hearing that old Roy Orbison song in my head ;D ..... www.youtube.com/watch?v=07NMA51D46c..... love it ;D ...... ..... but really, I mean I won't be crying - I'm happy instead because of the Allo . Hey Himmapaan - besides the wonderfully sculpted skin texture, is it also the BLUE that turns you on ?

Hey Himmapaan - besides the wonderfully sculpted skin texture, is it also the BLUE that turns you on ? Ahaha, how wonderfully apt. ;D Ah, I assume you ask because of my fondness for blue in my work? ;D Perhaps it may have had something to do with it... ;D Hehe, honestly though, I must admit its blueness hadn't been my first draw; more the fact that it was simply an Allosaurus, it was a Kaiyodo, and it was available. ;D I seized the opportunity against my better judgement.

Ah, JP keyrings! And they still have the keyrings on them. Nice. (I've only got the Dilophosaurus.)
I recently got hold of a Dinotales Sinosauropteryx. It's quite charming.

Glad to see them out of the baggies. And safe. The Rex also looks like a baby, didn't realized about that!

Glad to see them out of the baggies. And safe. The Rex also looks like a baby, didn't realized about that! It does but I don't think it is supposed to be. I know there was originally supposed to be a baby triceratops in the first JP but I don't think there was ever a baby tyrannosaurus.

These beauties arrived today The Exaeretodon is by far the largest and heaviest figure. The Saurosuchus is probably the most detailed and Frenguellisaurus is the smallest and lightest. The Exaeretodon intrigues me the most (can't quite figure why nobody else seems to be going for this one!) and looking at some of the exhibit pictures around the net these figures appear to be very accurate miniatures of the displayed restorations. I don't think that the quality is quite up to Kaiyodo standards and there is no mention anywhere on the packaging of Kaiyodo having any part in the production of these. The manufacturer and sculptor is a complete mystery to me. That irks me some
