That was your photo? Wow, for a second I thought it was one of mine! ;D I think most if not all the pictures on dansdinosaurs.com are done by pango! Only the ones that I have figures of. I'm not that rich.

Excellent. I love your blog - it's the anti-DTB. I don't think we'd review anything lesser than a UKRD or AAA sub-museum figure.... Thank you, horridus, I suppose ;D (Lesser ? sub-? Oh. Poor creatures...)

I meant....you know...in terms of anatomical accuracy.... ;D I do REALLY love your blog! My first dino toy was a gaping Chinasaur, now sadly long lost.

I won't tell a lie....that whole VGA card collecting thing seems very, very strange to me. But that is precisely why I am intrigued...

it isn't strange hehe, I am not the only one, here's the rest of my team: www.3dfx.ch/gallery/v/3dfx_collectors/?g2_GALLERYSID=b3adf838219f42e5751f8433442a777bWe collect mainly 3dfx VGA card, it's company that brought 3D acceleration to the PC with some surprisinng results also extremely revolutionary ones, we can all thank 3dfx Interactive for all the techs we have these days, matrox, like NVIDIA, ATi, S3, SiS, XGI and PowerVR you name it, all followed this dream, only some didn't make out quite so well. The only major brands that have been successful since the fall of 3dfx Interactive are ATi and NVIDIA Cooperation, but it is interesting for us VGA card collectors also to collect VGA cards's from the somewhat less well known companies that also tried to be successful in the high end gaming VGA card segment, Matrox Cooperation's Parhelia is one of these cards that really didn't end up succesful, because it was released to late on the market and it had a hardware design flaw with it's memory controller instead of the 17.6GB memory bandwidth itwas supposed to deliver it only could deliver 14.4GB per sec memory bandwidth.. but it's image quallity makes it probably one of the best on the market, it can do 1 billion colours instead of the standard 16.7 million all other VGA cards can produce, it's default mode is 16.8Million colours which is still more than a VGA card of any other vendor. It also could give the gamer TrippleHead Surround gaming, using 3x CRT's or TFT each with a reso of 1280 x 1204 x 32 pixels, this way more could be rendered in a game giving the player or user more to see and enjoy, it excelled at this and it was the only VGA card capable of doing Tripplehead, designers in the CAD worlded loved the Parhelia, later models like the 256MB variant I showed had two feature connectors that allowed the user to add a Parhelia PCI-X card for an additional 3 screens, this way 6 screens could be used @ 1280 x 1024 or 4 screens @ 1920 x 1200 over two Parhelia GPU based cards the main being an AGP card the slave a PCI-X card. For most VGA carc collectors, collecting Dino's would be very odd as well, it's just a segment that I found extremely interesting to collect, otherwise I would not do it

You don't have to tell me about 3DFX. My first ever 3D card was a Voodoo 2....ah, I remember the first time I played Quake 2 and Unreal on my newly Voodoo 2 enhanced PC! Wonderful...

Well today my Matrox Parhelia AGP 256MB DDR arrived from Korea so here it is: Here two very interesting feature connectors which i think is used to connect to a Parhelia PCI-X 256MB so you can run 4 to 6 monitors at once: Here compared with the Matrox Parhelia AGP x4 128MB DDR card: So yeah as you can see, the 256 MB model has alot od seeable differences, even the rear views show that a newer revision of the GPU was used, the 256MB variant has alot less capacitors under the GPU, also some chips were reoved and replaced with improved ones and that the 128 variant lacks them feature connectors to connect a PCI-X card for more monitors. So yeah for EUR 30,51 incl freeshipping this is a master piece for any various branded VGA collector and a must have as well. 8) So here it is in the test system: Sveta SMP 2004Dual OpteronMP 850 CG, 2x 2405Mhz, 2x 1024KB L2 MSI MS-9130 K8T Master2-FAR VIA K8T800 Chipset 2x 1024MB PC-3200 ECC Reg Kingston Value Ram Matrox Parhelia AGP 256MB 256Bit DDR Rev.A 4004 [week 40, year 2004] 3dfx Voodoo5 5500 PCI Macintosh 64MB 256Bit SDR Rev.A1 2900 [In Practical 2x 32MB 128Bit SDR] WinXP Pro USA + SP3 Matrox September 2006 DirectX 9 Beta Driver Package SFFT Alpha 41 Modified by ps47 Here the Parhelia AGP 256MB in action with DXX-Rebirth 0.56 Beta4 and yes perfect image quality with these settings: 1 Billion Colour mode enabled FAA x16 Anisotropic Filtering Enabled which is AF x2 mode only, AF x4 & AF x8 are supported by the hardware only never been added in the drivers. Max ingame settings. That was fun blowing them up! Okay! I have uploaded the Reef Demo V1.1 screenshots, 8 of the 20 I made, so here they come Enjoy friends of x-3dfx Another VGA card added to my growing VGA card collection ;D Point of Order from a Moderator here--while this is a unique collection, it does not belong on this thread; this is appropriate in either the 'General' sub-forum, or as an entirely new thread under Collections (probably General, as this Forum is specifically intended for Dinos and similar collecting). And just so you know, I edited my post to limit the images. They aren't an issue, I just didn't want this getting too cluttered. Thanks.

This thread is in the Collections subforum of the Dino Toy Forum. Ergo, this thread is most specific to collections pertaining to dinos and other (mostly) prehistoric animal figures. A post with a collection of another sort is fine. In the appropriate place within the forum.

one moderation post is enough I AM NOT STUPID. It's a collection thus that is why I posted it here, the thread did not say "Dino Collection's Only" thus I find these over reacted posts rather irrelevant Peace.

Or is that "had", as it appears to be sold. Wow, I didn't realize how much some of those DinoRider figures would go for (not a cheeky/snarky statement). I knew that the "leopard painted" quetzal was worth alot of dollars/euros/pesos,etc but I had no bead/read on the other figures. I'm just glad that I have my three little Tyco Smithsonian pterosaurs.
