Today the Safari Field Museum Anatotitan arrived and it's such a lovely figure! This week I also got my first Battat: the Styracosaurus. A true beauty In my imagination it was a bit larger though, but that's probably because it has so much detail. And it's so gracious. Yeah... makes me happy

But unfortunately I've got a terrible camera and my pictures will never be as good as the ones that other people already made of this figure.

yeah well after collecting VGA cards over the years and a photoshooter addict, as being said that high res pics just show every detail you'd love to see in a picture Photography it's some we all know but some like to take it to higher levels, which is where I come in hehe. Any pics would do of course, norries there

niiice one man the Pteranodon , is that the light blue with gray one of the first series? Nope, it's its JP Dinosaurs 1 repaint from 1999, much rarer than the old JPS1 Pteranodon (but with an even less appealing paint job).

Bunch of great old books to read and learn: -Digging dinosaurs - Horner 1988 -The hot-blooded dinosaurs - Desmond 1975 -Life through the ages- Charles Knight 1946 (reedition 2001) -The Winston Effect - Stan Winston's biography (expensive as hell, but the best book ever) -Prehistoric life murals- Will Stout 2009 (expensive but absolutely worthy) -Dinosaur discoveries- Will Stout 2009 (not expensive and delicious) -Dinosaur discoveries A to Z- Stout 2009 (unluckily this is actually the very same book as the previous one, but with a text for children. Exactly the same illustrations though. Bad choice. I'm gonna need to sell this one... It's absolutely new.) -Dinosaurs- W. E. Swinton, british museum edition 1974 (tons of great Neave Parker drawings) -The Making of Congo movie - (this book is 1.000.000 better than the actual movie, lol) Yeah, that new Icthylosaurus really rocks.....definitely better than the painted invicta one. Does anyone else think so? Although the color scheme is somewhat similar.... Yes here, indeed, I actually tend to think they based the Carnegie on the painted Invicta. They are too "somewhat similar" to me, to be just a coincidence. Of course in this case it's not a blatant rip-off, but a clear inprovement on the original, better enough for people not caring about the Invicta being first.
