This one is in the pipe at Shapeways. Lets see if it prints. If it does I'll let you all know. It will be 1/144th. Can't vouch for the accuracy of the general form of this animal, but what was found was incorporated into the sculpt. People are still on the fence as to what this creature IS. Some say Titanosaur-ish some say Diplodicoid-ish. This was one of my first ZBrush models I've done, over 6 years ago. People asked me for model of this so a dusted it off and made it available. Was halfway through posing a Giganotosaurus when my machine crashed. Maybe later this week it will be done. D Attachments:

Aw, that poor Giga. Awesome work on the Augustinia, though. It should help clear the bitter aftertaste that CollectA left with us.

That looks awesome, David! It's nice to see a dinosaur in 1/144 scale from a different time and place.

Its not easy finding anything that lived with Agustinia. Giganotosaurus looks like it overlapped. Limaysaurus lived with Giga and some people say that Limay lived alongside Agustinia. Just a warning. Before you do a Google image search for Agustinia, make sure you wife/girlfriend is not in the room.

Another possibility is Ligabuesaurus, and I can see Giganotosaurus crossing paths with Agustinia at some point. Looking forward to them! ;D
I know what your talking about regarding the Google image search by the way.... lol

There's still the "Safe Search" option... By the way, I couldn't resist and painted the Triceratops today: Franz Josef Strauss is 1:87 scale.

That's great that you are going to be offering Agustinia, it should be a great figure. The CollectA one is not that bad, after all, it was modeled after David's, that is until you get to the head ;D Why CollectA put such an awfully sculpted head on an otherwise nice figure is a mystery. Can't wait for this new Krentz figure to be available!

Here is the Giganotosaurus. Once again, I'll see if Shapeways can print this guy. When I have the figure in my hands to inspect I'll let you all know. If all goes well both the Agustinia and Giga will be available in 10 days. D Attachments:

Great news. So we all keep our fingers crossed! However, so far all of your shapeways models were printable without problems. Given that you have even more experience with shapeways now, I'm pretty confident the Agustinia and Giganotosaurus will print as excellent as all of the others. Will the Agustinia be hollow like the Alamosaurus? It's good that you made the hole in the Alamosaurus' belly so small, so prior to painting I just smeared some Apoxie Sculpt over it and it's not visible anymore.

I'd be plunking down the dough so fast you'd think it magically appeared there.. ;D

All of my models have been cancelled at least twice! Then I have to noodle with them and wait another 10 days to see if they print.
I understand why they need to be so strict though, they need to worry about their own production needs.

Oh. So then I hope this time there will be less - or better: nothing - to be corrected. In any case it's great that you are releasing these.

Whoa, love the lunging pose on the Giga. Are people propping up their Rex or does he really stand on his own two feet in all those photos?

The Rex is excellently balanced and stands without support (btw, some of his Antediluvia theropods do so as well, e.g. Acrocanthosaurus). Just prevent it from falling out of a shelf when someone slams a door...
