I was trying to use a hair dryer then I would position the tail as soon as the plastic became pliable. Thank you gentlemen!

Yes, I use a hair dryer or hot water to soften tails and necks before bending into shape, (I do tend to 'overbend' to combat it going back into its original position) While still hot I do let the cold water tap run over it. So far nothing has reverted back to its original position. |

You should..it's a great piece to repaint. I have to say I'm also VERY fond of his Tylosaurus..bet you could do a beautiful underwater piece with that one. ;D
