That Troodon is glorious! As for the Triceratops, just walking along looking dignified is fine. Good luck with the T. rex front-on view. I did try it once...yeah, it's hard, that's all I'm gonna say Yeah I second that. Actually a lot of the dinosaurs look odd front on, except the ceratopsians.

Ok Horridus, I´ll get with it once I finish the stego (which is quite advanced). I still own you a good T. Rex though... And thanks everyone else for the compliments! specially coming from you Melissa, is very flattering. ...the skull shape is harder to get right that any other non avian theropod I´m aware of Yes. And that goes for even the deadly simple profile view. Wretched T.rex.. I love the Troodon's colours. And I would still encourage you to do more traditional colourwork. I'm thinking of how splendid this Troodon would look... I'll even send you a box of pencils if you intend to put them to regular, concerted use. ;D You know, I did some work wih coloured pencils on he Herrerasaurus drawing, but it looks just hideous (speaking of which I don believe we even use the same kind of pencils..) Also, even If I could do it better I have the feeling that the pencil colour style doesn´go with me.. On the other hand I´ll probably give acrylics a shot, I think I even keep some in home. And speaking of the d*mn Tyrannosaurus head, this is what I have so far, thoughts?: Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Did you use something for reference? The lower jaw may need to be thicker but I'm not entirely sure off hand.

Some random skull pics in google...good front views of the skull are hard to find. I think you´re right, the back of the lower jaw must be thicker though the tip seems to be about that wide. Also, don´t you think the eyes are too big?

He´s surprised you get so close to him instead of start running. ;D But not particularly hungry.

I like its suggestion of straining against the wind and its closed eyes.

Thanks Himmapan. Here is the concept sketch of the lone Triceratops that Horridus requested: Uploaded with ImageShack.usNow its the time to say if you want me to change or add anything. By the way...Lately I had a weird idea for a drawing regarding ceratopsians..It would be sort of a spanish bull running -which I hate- but replacing the bulls by adult trikes and torosaurs...and lots of terrified and possibly gored people. ;D

It looks like the body is too long. Ceratopsians did have shorter bodies than most other ornithischians.

True. It should be about the same lengh as the head. Thanks for the input. Also, I´m not sure if the nasal horn should be a bit longer...

Ceratopsians had some kind of covering or sheath over the bone of the horn didn't they ? That could have been longer and thicker than what we see on the fossil skull.

Perhaps it is not the length of the body so much as the limbs? Could the latter be just a little longer?
You guys are a dreadful influence. Now I'm making critiques, ew...

The body proportion looks okay to me. The beak could be bigger though in addition to the horns. The front right limb could be angled a little more outwards too I suppose.

Thanks Himmapan. Maybe a bit like this: Uploaded with ImageShack.us(Dont worry, the human won´t be in the final version) Ah, good points Griffin. I agree. Although the beak already looks fairly big to me, I was thinking of doing it more parrot like.
