I finally finished photographing my sauropod collection for cataloguing. I never realized until I was sorting them out how many sauropod figures there are and how diverse the collection is!
I think I counted 11 different species ( Brachi, diplo, apato, mamenchi, camara, salta, cetiosaurus, amarga, agustina, rebbachisaurus, shunusaurus) from the major toy line, I am not counting the mini figures like Kaiyodo. Am I missing any?
Sauropods and ceratopsians are my favorite groups of dinosaur. When I started my collection I only collected those two groups. Not anymore, but I still make it a priority to acquire any new models. So here is my collection, not all of them since you will notice that the mini and various chinasaurus figures are not included.
MY BIG HERD OF SAUROPODS STRIKE A POSE!

THE BRACHIOSAURUS AND CAMARASAURS.BRACHIOSAUR BELONG IN THAT ELITE GOUP OF TOP FIVE FIGURES THAT IS REPRESENTED IN ALL MAJOR TOY LINE (T-REX,TRICERATOPS,STEGASAURUS,AND PTERANODON ROUND UP THE GROUP).
THE NEW SCHLEICH IS IN THE BACK WITH THE ORIGINAL AND MINI.

THE DIPLODOCUS AND OTHER SAUROPODS. MY FAVORITE GROUP AND ALSO THE MOST DIVERSE. THEY ARE THE USUALLY THE LONGEST FIGURES IN ANY LINE. ONLY THE NEW TOYWAY AND TS TOYS FIGURE SHOW THE DORSAL SPIKES IN THEIR DIPLODOCUS FIGURE. THE DORSAL SPIKE IS POPULARIZED BY THE WWD SHOW. MANY FIRST AND ONLY FIGURES IN THE GROUP LIKE THE CETIOSAURUS FROM INVICTA;RABBACHISAURUS,AGUSTINA,AND SHUNOSAURUS FROM PROCON;MAMENCHISAURUS FRON INVICTA AND SAFARI;AMARGASAURUS FROM BATTAT.
[img src="http://i344.photobucket.com/albums/p323/Bokichops/S7306779.jpg"
VIEW FROM THE TOP. INTERESTING TO SEE THE DIFFERENT SHAPE OF EACH FIGURE VIEWED FROM ABOVE. YOU CAN CLEARLY SEE WHO IS THE LONGEST MODEL (2008 SAFARI DIPLO).

I hope that more figures will be released. Maybe some of the really big ones like Argentinasaurus and Siesmosaurus, any any other obscure ones. Also Papo should release one, it is the only gropu in the top five that they don't have. Well, I hope you guys enjoyed it. Let me know if I overlooked any, or if you have a figure that I don't have (go ahead and post it so I can be jealous )
