Appears to be masiakasaurus. The commercial does look fantastic, I've been waiting for this a long time!

Well, Angie said on another forum that it was an Ornitholestes. From what I've heard, it turns out it didn't really have that distinctive nose horn most people know it by. Nevertheless, I love this sneak preview!

Nevertheless, I love this sneak preview! But remember that paleontologists no longer believe it had a distinctive nasal 'horn' EDIT: Besides that note, I believe it is in fact a masiakasaurus

Scott Hartman did a skeletal drawing for this guy not too long ago, and looking back at it, it looks about right for the animal in your screenshot. LinkAnd judging from this picture, Masiakasaurus' jaw is a bit different, as the teeth would be a bit bigger and the upper jaw would bend upwards slightly. (I'm not an intense paleo nerd, so I only know the difference from these pictures I just found. Otherwise, they do look very similar to each other. ) I guess I should just wait for Angie to come back herself and give her response.

David, wasn't that guy an Ornitholestes??? It all starts to run together...lol. I swear it was Ornitholestes. But I could be wrong, have been before ;D
No Hadrosaurs are indeed a beginning to the end of the world.
Wait for David, not me ;D I'm better with the stuff that eats plants, lol.

With a look at Scott Hartman's skeletal reconstruction, I now perceive the dinosaur as ornitholestes. I never make up my mind . . .

Yea, it's Ornitholestes. I modeled it from a skeletal Scott provided. There is indeed a down turn at the anterior end of the dentary so it superficially looks like a Maski. The animation of that guy turned out great so he's one of my favorites.
The lack of hadrosaurs was not intentional. We had stories with them in it and one even bit a chunk out of aTyrannosaur's face. The fact was the story was not that strong so we left if behind and concentrated on the better ones.

The trailer is indeed interesting. Maybe T.rex moves a bit too roughly and fast, but still very good.

I've heard that a lot. I think it would have nice to have spent more time and money on it but we are talking about a TV program. I think for the time and budget it looks pretty darn good...I mean just review some of Discovery's past travesties and you'll be kissing the screen when this airs.. lol ;D

Yes, still looks better than most we´ve seen on Tv. Its a shame that the stupid Terra Nova made up and inaccurate dinosaurs will probably look more "realistic" as they could afford an enormous budget.

Maybe afford more for sure..but not movie quality really. So far we've only seen two Terra Nova Dinos and they aren't terrible..def better than most.

Looks like a lot of that footage, ESP the rexes is sped up a little. Compressing high def to low res flash also does not help the compositing.

Yeah, I thought it looked a bit different from what I had seen of those shots before and some weird compression issues going on. I'm assuming what will end up on TV is the original Hi Def stuff so it will be fine in the end Defending my Hadrosaurs to the death! ;D They'll have their day. One day. Squashing feathery things left and right. Blade! It could happen ;D They are tired of being background filler and food! And green! LOL!
