While we are wondering what the status is on the Blu Ray of this show's intended version in the US and etc, it appears that it is available to pre-order on some Australian outlets in Region B format. It is unclear if this is the new "intended" version or the version as seen televised. Would really like to know. It has a release date of January 4th. But I doubt this will be simultaneous to other countries. www.dvdwarehouse.com.au/dinosaur-revolution-9343970004168.htmlAlso here, even with a temp. cover: www.ezydvd.com.au/blu-ray/dinosaur-revolution-blu-ray/dp/6107757/10540000Judging from the runtime posted on both pages (176 minutes) and if you multiply the approx. 43 minute episodes by 4 (172 minutes), this release seems to be the televised version. EDIT: A big HOWEVER though! Does the following bold I made in the description below indicate one of the scenes we saw ONLY on Pete's storyboards, and was then mysteriously removed?
Dinosaur Revolution combines the latest paleontological research with Hollywood storytelling and the talent of the world's best dinosaur illustrators and animators. In the series new creatures like giant dinos with Freddy Krueger-style clawed hands a Jurassic flying squirrel pygmy T-Rex and frogs so big they can eat dinosaurs are combined with the latest understanding of dinosaur behaviours.
Sorry guys about the above edit, it appears that apparently the description is indeed from one of the original ads of the show, which we all know cut the "giant dinos with Freddy Krueger-style clawed hands". Sorry to get anyone's hopes up. So it does appear that this particular release is the televised version, judging from the runtime.

I asked about the dvd on FB and received this reply :
" Dinosaur Revolution There currently is no definitive date set as to the release of a DVD set from the original series, but Von Shelly will release a new version consisting of the best material from the show, without any narration, that will be released on Blu-ray Disc. "
Sounds good it's getting a release of some sort, but only on Blue-ray is a bit disappointing..haven't jumped on that band wagon..yet. It also sounds like it may have less material than in the original show ?

Yay! I actually love it when there's no narration!

I'm all estatic for this still, but I would love to have at least an estimation of when the Von Shelly one will be released? This year for sure? Before summer? After summer? Hmmm. And if he was somehow able to add anything, I REALLY hope it was the Freddy Kreuger dinosaur bit.

It also sounds like it may have less material than in the original show ? I don't have Blue-ray either so hopefully it will come out on DVD eventually. And I hope they're not cutting too much, the only part I could do without was the mosasaur bit.
