I don't work for retail, but I would imagine the following prices as reasonable:
-Papo T-Rex v.2, $19.99 -Papo T-Rex (repaint), $17.99 -Papo Tylosaurus, $13.99 -Papo Brachiosaurus, $39.99

My original list (from a few years ago) of predictions for upcoming Papo figures to be released with time. It would be interesting to see how many of these figures will be coming out in the not-too-distant future. 1) Carnotaurus 2) Ceratosaurus 3) Giganotosaurus 4) T-Rex Sculpt # 25) Spino Sculpt #2 6) Mamenchisaurus 7) Brachiosaurus (2012 release?) 8) Gallimimus 9) Chasmosaurus 10) Styracosaurus11) Kentrosaurus 12) Ankylosaurus13) SmilodonRead more: dinotoyforum.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=userrecentposts&user=tanystropheus#ixzz1gqvE5QGVI failed to predict the 2012 Papo Tylosaurus. It might as well not exist, lol.

You seem to go nuts with the predictions - if you put down a list of 15 very common dinosaurs and leave yourself a few years for them to be made, chances are many will be made...

Yeah, I agree- that's generally the case with predictions. Assuming that Papo is still in the market 10 years from now, they would (certainly) release some more obscure varieties (currently, they have three relatively "obscure" models in their prehistoric line, Pachyrhinosaurus, Oviraptor, and Tylosaurus) because they would have exhausted their choices of "common dinosaurs" by then.

Hey guys I got some info on Papo stuff, but I'm not sure if it's real or just rumors. I know a retalier here in Brazil which buys dinos from all over the world and when I told her about the new release rex, she decided to talk to a seller in US about the new Papo rex, to check if the rex would be really a Papo release and not a custom. This seller told her that Papo would repaint the rex, I supose that the old one will have the same color used in the second version. Also, the seller said they would release a Brachiosaurus... I can't guarantee that this info is real, as far as I know it's just a rumor yet. Let's hope the Brachio is real. Anyone else knows about something? Let's also hope that the "Brachiosaurus" was not outsourced to the sculptors that made the Nessie, and the "Tylosaurus". We don't need a sauropod fail.

If it actually does come out, I kind of expect that it would obviously be based off the original JP Brachiosaurus.....

The Brachiosaurus from JP were quite beautiful and graceful. Does anyone know if the Brachiosaurus depicted in the JP series were accurate representations, either as "Brachiosaurus" or as "Giraffatitan"??

Hmm, very interesting about a possible Brachi from Papo. Of course I would love it! I think it would more likely than not be a fantastic figure! It seems the marine reptile figures have a different sculptor from the dino line. Don't know, just seems to me. I wonder though (if made), how big it would be, because Papo really doesn't have a scale it sticks to, do they?
And I think Papo's prices are pretty fair, especially for their sculpt details. They're pretty close to Carnegie prices. The smaller Papo's tend to be a little more. For ex: Papo's "Anky" is $12.99 at the store I shop at and Carnegie's Anky is $8.99. BUT, the larger Papo figures seem to be fairly comparable to Carnegie and some are even less. Ex: Carnegie's Spino is $29.99 and Papo's is $19.99!

Given that almost every other line has a Tylosaurus (even Mojo!), many have an Oviraptor, and there is already a CollectA Pachyrhinosaurus, they are going to have to do a bit more homework if they ever want to hit on something 'obscure'. Even if they were brave enough to actually call this so-called forthcoming Brachiosaurus a Giraffititan, that would be something (ironically, the people that might appreciate such a thing may be the exact opposite of the people that are the biggest fans of Papo ;D).

My favorite JP Brachi is the one they see at the beginning of the first movie. I would love one like that! I've always liked him better than the ones down by the river bank in JPIII. Actually, the Tamiya Brachi looks pretty close to that first Brachi. And I think he's awesome despite his overly vertical neck position.

I always thought that Papo goes after dinosaurs that popped up in the media at some point. They started with dinosaurs from Jurassic Park, They got the Pachyrihnosaurus and Oviraptor from Disney's Dinosaur and they got Tylo from Natgeo Sea Monsters and the pliseosaurus speaks for itself (Nessie). while almost everyone I know, already knows what a Sabre tooth Tiger(Smilodon) and Mammoth is(which both had a cartoonish boost in popularity with the film Ice age.) looking at all that. I thought for sure that they would take a creature from the Walking with Dinosaurs documentary, come to think of it, I predict a Leplorodon with walking with colors will come out in the future from them. That just what i thought of Papo

![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) I dunno. HOW excited are you for that Brachiosaurus? ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) **hello?** Pretty friggin excited. More excited than I was for the new Diplodocus, which I...have yet to acquire (I love sauropods, but I've never been a fan of diplodocids much for some reason, ah, yes, they are some of the few dinosaurs that are simply impossible for me to draw).

I'm a little torn on this new rex. It looks really cool, so I feel I'd be remiss to pass it up - but I've nowhere in my collection to put it :/ That ugly head - particularly the massive jaw - means I can't add it in with the rest of my Jurassic Park display, but It's certainly not accurate enough to go in with my dinosaur replicas and fossils. On the other hand, a proper JP Brachi would be fantastic ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)
