We've seen pictures--we didn't need a four post spread in the thread.

Man, this Rex is going to receive so much dental work. That protruding tooth on the mandible tip is particularly annoying.

And I realized that it's a 5-post spread! Well, it's more appealing than some other well known actresses' spread.... ...in the most recent Papo T-rex pictures, you can really see the detail/sculpting...the glimmering eyes, in particular, look pretty cool from the new angles...

I for one welcome those pics! Love the detail on this beastie! I do agree the lower jaw, teeth and feet look a bit awkward though, but that doesn't stop me from picking this one up the first chance I get.

You can see that the protruding tooth in the lower jaw fits perfectly in the hole in the upper jaw. So I think it's really a battle damage. Similar to the allosaurus dan has in the signature!

Given all the work that went into it, it still begs the question: WHAT'S WITH THE ARMS? Gah.

Indeed, I am thinking about buying it and having someone who is more skilled than I am chop off the arms and affix a new pair (or at least cut the length dramatically). You can argue about robust v gracile, crocodile-style teeth v lips etc., but the arms are just Plain Wrong.

Does Shapeways provide non-brittle materials that are compatible with (e.g will adhere to) the PVC found in Papo models...?

And Kiki - thanks for the great photos. It is a GREAT FIGURE - ... but sadly NOT of a T-Rex!! (I wonder if the jaw of the green one would fit into the mouth of the brown one? ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) )

I like it better than the Kosmoceratops in terms of the overall paint job and sculpting. The color scheme is an improvement but I really think the kosmo is much less awkward with regards to sculpt. Don't get me wrong, the Kosmo does look nice---It has a natural pose...I just feel that the Utahceratops and the Vagaceratops are better "scuted". I suppose if they made the "scutes" more uniformly refined e.g 1:15 Trike, I would be a tad bit more ecstatic. I think Dan released the measurements some time ago---Is the Kosmo comparable in scale to the Utahceratops and the Vagaceratops?
