What the brown? The new Rex looks nice, and some of those repaints are far superior to the originals.

LoL. And here I was, hoping Schleich might try something daring and accurate. Looks like they made a very shy effort of giving plumage to the raptor. ![](http://a1.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc7/377555_278321785548366_139715136075699_698653_194133582_n.jpg)

Ah, many times I have wondered what a Monarch butterfly patterned Quetzelcoatlus would have looked like. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) Although it may seem that I am being a tad sarcastic - I am not and I am looking forward to seeing and buying that pterosaur also.

Well at least they made a step foward. Maybe schleich should team up with papo. I kinda like the schleich trex.

I`m not really sure, what to think about those... Instead of all those repaints (wih poseable jaws), I`d rather like an accurate Dromaeosaur, not another (yes, the first schleich Velociraptor was also rather a Deinonychus) mislabeled Raptor.

Schleich has made a tiny step forward. Tiny.

I'm not really a fan of any of the Schleich sculpts shown there, but I do like the detailing and the paint jobs.
...And for the record, the Schleich tyrannosaur does look more inaccurate than the Papo one.

Bad news its mostly repaints and a couple of new rescuplted uglies. Good news after 4 other failed/flawed t-rexes, Schleich finally made an (at first glance) respectable Rex!
From my count they have a resculpted Rex, Raptor, and Trike? The raptor might even be considered a new animal all together for the museum line, since the other green one was really part of the Schleich Jr line.
The new trike just makes me sad.

These new dinos are cool
I was actually planning on buying some of the Retired Schleich models tomorrow at Toys-R-us, but this changes my mind, so I'm going to wait until these beasts invade the market.
the Saichanias new color scheme looks better then the original to me

*SIGH* What a horror show. I guess Schleich is strictly aiming for the kiddie market. The only one remotely likeable figure is the repainted Quetzalcoatlus (although the erroneous position of the too-short neck, as well as the too short and misshaped head is still there...)

Sorry, but I'd scarcely be convinced to buy any one of these at gunpoint - with, maybe, the exception of that Para. The new sculpts are more detailed; but I'm not seeing any real attempt to improve accuracy. That new raptor is just depressing. How are kids meant to learn what a real, modern dromaeosaur reconstruction looks like if these scaly or barely-feathered figures keep being released? Also, the knuckle-dragging thing is at least as bad as the tripod pose, if you ask me.

Eh they are better than the older models I suppose. The quetz coloration is beautiful thats for sure. The para is also really good.

Well in that case there are a lot of little shop of horrors out there ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) altough i like the trex most out of schleich. I do not understand why there is so little safari ltd here. When you ask sellers about it they say schleich is best and safari Ltd is ugly. I don't understand that attitude.

True enough, at least they are bothering to paint them properly now. Quite nicely, really. Credit where it's due. I do not understand why there is so little safari ltd here. When you ask sellers about it they say schleich is best and safari Ltd is ugly. I don't understand that attitude. ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) Wow. That's just weird. Are you sure they're not secretly Schleich employees?

If Schleich are employing any palaeontologists as consultants, then they must have drawn them from the same school of thought that reconstructed Diplodocus as a sprawling lizard back in the day.
The new raptor looks like a copy of the Paporaptor without the superb sculpting of the latter. Sometimes I forgive inaccurate plumage because at least it indicates that the producers know about feathered dinosaurs, but this just has a smattering of arm feathers and nothing else.
Why does the new Triceratops have dragon feet when their old one was better?
About the only improvement is the colour schemes, even though they're mixes of various browns.

Schleich has made a tiny step forward. Tiny. They may be tiny steps forward, but Schleich needs a lot more steps to catch up with where the market is at NOW. If this was 2000 and Battat was gone, Safari was not a great company, and the others didn't exist, these might be considered well-done. Now? They're just more Schleich dinos.

![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) Hi, What do you think of the new color ... Parasaurolophus The first is more colorful ... for coupling ... The second is less colorful ... to hide from carnivorous ... To you who know more than me, which is the most realistic? ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png)

Schleich- T-rex: A decent theropod by Schleich? ![:o](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/shocked.png) Quetz: This is a gorgeous repaint--I've missed Schleich's Quetz v.1, and v2 had a weird skeleton costume outfit repaint. Quetz v 3 is a work of art. I'm picking up two of them. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Velociraptor: Seems like it would make a good companion piece for the Papo v. 2 Raptor, assuming that they are roughly the same size. The teeth sculpting is almost identical to Papo's, btw. Apatosaurus: Beautiful repaint...makes me sad that I picked up the previous Apatosaurus Brachiosaurus: Is this a resculpt? Does the neck have a different incline??? ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) (...the neck seems to look more like Carnegie's 2012 Brachiosaurus here) Am I the only person noticing this ...? Trike: What's up with the goofy, splayed legs? Giganotosaurus: It still deserves to be burned with fire! ;D Stegosaurus: meh Saichania: I'm happy w/ their previous rendition--- Parasaurolophus: We can never have too many, lol... Question: Do the sauropods have moveable jaws??? Commentary (additional): One of the most common complaints with Schleich (and Papo) dinosaurs is the use of drab paint schemes. It seems that Schleich has addressed this particular problem.
