Great photos Gwangi BTW at about the 25th picture down, are those the arms of Deinechirus behind you? if so. AWESOME!! They are! And I must say, much larger in person. I think they were probably casts but I'm not too concerned with that. Thanks for the compliments everyone. Himma, you left the ultimate compliment. I'm honored that my picture can have that effect on someone but considering the subject matter I'm not surprised. There are a lot more pictures (I took over 400) so if anyone wants to see more or pictures of a particular specimen feel free to ask.

Any pterosaurs? ;D
Also, what type of giant tortoise (3rd photo) is that and what's that mammal climbing the tree (8th photo)? Thanks!

Zopteryx, I did get pterosaur pictures, I'll post them tomorrow if you like. I cannot remember the mammal but will try to look it up, I think it may actually be a primate. I believe the tortoise was Colossochelys but I'm not certain. I didn't even notice the baculum but I did get a side picture and will look for it there. Takama, there was not a skeleton but there was a skull.

This so makes me want to get back to this museum. I went several years back and it was something I wanted to see for a long time. To see so many fossils, especially fossils that showed up in the books I constantly reread as a kid. BTW - From someone who has a love for reptiles, you can't beat Australia for it's unique and gorgeous goannas and snakes! And the bada$$ of today's living reptiles, the salt water crocodile!

I went there when I was 7yo. That's such an amazing museum...I'd do anything to go back.
