^^^ But you were the one that started doing it after I issued the warning. I apologized and left it at that, but Cordylus resurrected it. Thats a good idea Bokisaurus! I think rainy dioramas are the best.

Ah, it's nice to be back and see everyone's been busy with their diorama projects! Unfortunately it has been raining non-stop here in Seattle making it impossible to do any diorama outdoors. Believe me, it has crossed my mind to make a great flood dios with all the rain we are getting ;D So I think I am going on plan B. That would be awesome.. A bunch of drowning dinosaurs... It would have a nice "apocalytpic" feel.

^ Too bad there are no good charcharodontasaurus figures. I hear you there Cordylus. The Safari one is too bright (I like bright, but not for realistic dioramas), but its pose in water will help it look like its drowning.

It is too small to fit with any good spino figure.

It is too small to fit with any good spino figure. That struck me too, but then I thought about it and...the safari Spinosaurus would look great! It is the perfect size, color, and pose.

But not all Spinosaurs were 50 feet long. This one could be nearly full grown. Besides, its going to be in the background. You must remember that Carchardontosaurus was T-Rex sized and Spinosaurus really wasn't far off. I think the Safari Spino IS longer...just not as bulky...which is actually about right. ;D

Who needs length when you have weight? ;D (I'm not trying to argue here, but I am thoroughly interested...are we just estimating on Spinosaurus' length or do we have hard evidence of it? I'm almost certain the small evidence we had of Spinosaurus was destroyed during the War.) You don't like the Safari Spinosaurus? Its my favorite Spino figure. Better then even papo.

The biggest rex is 42 feet long. The rest are about an average 36 I believe. So? Giga could have been 8 tons, and it has been suggested spino was 9. We don't have a lot of evidence, but remember, there was that spinosaurus skull and jaw fragment found in 2005(I think?). The estimates for that individual spinosaurus was something like 50-55 feet (I think). I do like the safari spino, just it has too many digits on the hands and it is on the small size. Although I do love the great dinosaurs spinosaurus, it is about 1/40th scale, but still has too many fingers.

I may be wrong, but I think they found a larger specimen. Ahh, okay. They are estimating. Why though, would a predator with such weak teeth and bite force need to weight 9 tons?

We do not know that it had a weak bite force, tyrannax. How many more times do I have to tell you this??!! ;D There have been no studies on how strongly spino could have bitten, as there isn't even enough skull material to work with. How do you know it's teeth were weak? They were rather like crocodile teeth- basically straight and good for holding onto prey without it slipping away.

Plus I don't want to risk getting my camera wet. I have something I am already working on, I'm just not sure yet which one to submit.

I was just messing with you Cordylus. Thats for all the T-Rex abuse you put me through. ;D ;D ;D You don't like my idea? I'm hurt. ;D Nah ;D I already made my dio...uploading my pictures now, actually!
