Hey, not sure of what that figure is on the second pic, bottom shelf, first figure to the right next to the small Procon Agustinia, is that t he Kinto Apato?
Bad photo, good eye. YES.
Could you tell us what the brown figure on the right top shelf is, with the Schleich guy? I'm thinking a Brachiosaurus?
And the striped one between the BMNH and the Invicta in the wall unit?
Yes, that's one of two, possibly three variations of the newer Bullyland Brach. The other is also a Bullyland, the Apatosaurus. Bucketfoot has one on eBay right now if you likey...
Wow, you must have done nothing else but collecting sauropods during the last six week. Very, very nice, I´m envious to be honest. To compensate this, I do a little bit of nitpicking ;D: The Bullyland Plateosaurus are not sauropods, but prosauropods, so they don´t count ;D
You're not far off on the last six weeks (though I also slept, ate, drank, spent time with my wife, pets, and friends, and found a job--I think). It wasn't just sauropods, though, as you well know. I'll post photos to the Diatryma, Ornithopod, and Prehistoric Mammal threads as I have time. I weeded out my ten year collection of sofubi Godzilla and Ultraman kaiju (still massive) and brought my dinosaur collection up to what it would've been if I hadn't quit collecting ten years ago, though I still have a bunch of Battats and Invictas to re-acquire that I actually had back in the day...
I also figured out what I collect, since being indiscriminate and just collecting absolutely everything is the road to madness. For the record: Schleich, Bullyland, Kleinwelka, and Invicta (original unpainted)--everything. Everybody else, just the sauropods/prosauropods, ornithischians, and post-K/T stuff. I realize that doesn't leave a lot out, and of course I'll pick up stuff outside my interests if it's just super-nice and super-cheap. I'm currently on a pretty major Stegosaurus kick, but most of it has yet to arrive.
As for the prosauropods, as you know I am pro-sauropod myself, so I figured it would be OK. ;D Point taken--I figure they're ancestors, and aesthetically similar, which is how I manage to tiptoe around my own OCD on the subject. ;D
