That's wonderful. Thanks for linking to that blog too, looks like I could spend a good amount of time exploring it.

I think I mentioned before that Csotonyi is one of my most favourite Paleoartists ever. ;D Those are wonderful oviraptorosaur reconstructions, Gwangi. Thank you for pointing them out. I've seen that artist's work on dA before.

The Dino Discoveries Oviraptor on Nest? Yes, it is gaudy, isn't it? But it exactly follows an illustration by Luis V. Rey. Even the black and white markings on the crest, it's all there. I'm sure it's too flashy for many people. But the sculpt quality is great. And the head is probably the best of all the Oviraptor/ Citipati toy figures. I think Boki's colours 'pop' a bit aswell as my Kaiyodo Ovi isn't quite as neon as Boki's looks Yes, I had to take the photo indoors, so the lighting made the colors more "vivid" ;D I love all of my ovis, I think they all have their special charms and quality that makes them such an interesting flock to watch ;D

Both safari's for over all best figures. The papo is great especial detail. But now considered inacrate but I would love to glue some feathers on it!!! CollectA is awesome for both scale and proper hand placement but lacks as far as a paint job.

Perhaps the best reconstructions I've seen of oviraptor were those I found on this blog called "Schistosome" schistosome.blogspot.com/2009/09/oviraptorids.htmlI would love to see a figure modeled after this guy. Quite a change from the rather scraggly looking Carnegie. It's just occurred to me rather belatedly: Gwangi, remember a few pages back I mentioned the secretary bird by way of imagining a more stately Oviraptor? Look at the colour schemes this artist has chosen for her Oviraptorids! I venture to suggest that she had a not too dissimilar thought, wouldn't you say? Great minds? ;D

I cast my ballot for the Safari. Too-well-done overall not to bear the blue ribbon away. Sure, there were some likely inaccuracies (anyone ever seen hatchling birds with such garish colors?), but it was too well put-together for me to have passed it up. I like them all, though.

I admire and commend your egalitarian attitude and taste, Fossil; I like them all too in their own ways. ;D
Though as I mentioned before, I'm increasingly swaying towards the Safari Dino Discoveries as my favourite now. In fact, I have a very strong feeling it will be confirmed outright the day I finally acquire it...
