I'm curious though, the tail tip of the stegosaurus seem to be a little crooked so that one pair of spikes 'cross' each other. It doesn't look so obvious here, but it gives an idea. Does anyone else find this? I seem to keep getting things with odd flaws. Mine is fine, but over the years I've gotten stuff messed up. Such as a Papo Allosaurus. Falls over. But this is summer and vinyl is very prone to bending with heat. During shipping pressure on the tail and a hot delivery truck will do the trick. Once again hot water, over bend the tail and then ice water should do it.

Oh, and I got me the original JP Velociraptor today (with "Slashing Jaws"), which came with its card backing. It's open, mind, which is good - no resale-potential dilema for me. ;D

I shall employ the hot water method once more. ;D I've also just noticed my typos earlier (now corrected) - I was writing something else but altered it, then clearly forgot to change the rest of the sentence. Marc, is that the one you squeeze the legs and its head leans forward whilst opening its jaws?

Marc, is that the one you squeeze the legs and its head leans forward whilst opening its jaws? That's the one! It's not the best JP toy ever, the sculpt is very toy-like (which you might expect, given that it's a toy but...YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN), unlike some of the other JP dinosaurs. I got it for nostalgia reasons. Fox: I will review it at some point. However the shelf it's on now has a very complex arrangement of figures crammed onto it, so I fear extracting it and replacing it afterwards may be a bit of a difficult task...without knocking loads of things over.

I have that one too somewhere! ;D It's the only JP toy I own and was actually bought at the time of the first film (it was, in fact, one of the very few dinosaur toys I had at all). I was terribly fond of it and even thought then (however mistakenly) that it was one of the best dinosaur toys available, having been accustomed to seeing lumbering tail draggers and such. After having typed this, I went in search of it and found it in the first place I looked, ha! Behold, it stands on two feet in a horizontal stance. ;D I should take a picture of it... Talk of nostalgia, I'm now being affected by my own.

Talk of nostalgia, I'm now being affected by my own. ...And I've just reviewed it! Turns out I only had to remove 3 figures in my display to get to it. Had to be very careful, mind... I don't think you were mistaken in considering it one of the best dinosaur toys available back in 1993. As a kid the JP toys were my favourites by a country mile - they were big, modern looking, well detailed and highly playable! They made everything else look a bit dump, even the Carnegies available at the time.

I got a small K&M Stegosaurus, Brachiosaurus, Parasaurolophus, and Pachycephalosaurus; JaRu Uintatherium and Machrauchenia; Prehistoric times 91 and 94; and a safari limited poster with a zebra being painted on it.

I still remember when the DinoRiders came out, and I thought these were like the ultimate dinosaur reconstructions, lol I can give you the contact for the seller, If you wish. He's such a very good person. Oh, I don't think I'm quite as dedicated as that, but thank you so much for offering. I just thought it would be lovely to see your pictures of them, but please don't worry if it's not convenient. Just an example (the man sent me like 25 sheets more like that, for me to choose the photos to print): Again, if anybody wants to contact the sellet, feel free to ask. He was so nice to me that I promised I will speak about him to other collectors.

Oh, and sorry for derailing the thread.

Yep, I know... So imagine when, after my surprise with the DinoRiders, the JP ones came out... I just peed on my pants.
No, well, I really didn't need any reason to pee in my pants... but that time, man, that time I HAD AN EXUSE! Mwahahaha!!! -I really dunno why I am laughing about this...-

Me neither. To be fair, the JP toys came out later than the DinoRiders. Best nip this in the bud before I get hate mail!

Just an example (the man sent me like 25 sheets more like that, for me to choose the photos to print): Oh, excellent! Thank you for that. I particularly like picture number 30, I think. It goes to show, for all the fun we may sometimes make of these old reconstructions, these film-makers really did work hard with what they had. I also noticed again that my comment seven posts ago had yet more typos. For Heaven's sake, I'm getting clumsier and clumsier. It ought to make more sense now! ...Aaand back on the topic of recent acquisitions... ;D

Yes, It's so funny yet so interesting to see those serious old men "playing" with the dinosaur figs and taking pics of them... treating them with the care of movie stars -wich is what these were, in truth- --------- Weeeell, BACK to the TOPIC: Today, bought a KLEINWELKA DEINOSUCHUS. And two STARLUXES more: NOTHOSAURUS and PREHISTORIC TAPIR (whatever the name is )
