Dino resin goodness galore. I went on a bit of a spree recently. First, these five beauties from David Krentz's 1:72 Antediluvian series. Jobaria, Apatosaurus, Acrocanthosaurus, Tenontosaurus and Allosaurus. I knew you couldn't hold out too much longer before you finally broke down and went on a ballistic buying binge. Haha! Those Krentz models really are very fine figures. I too am anxious (but, I guess I also need to be patient, hehe) to see your paint skills on these! I especially love his Apato and Acro. Good luck with them and congrats! ;D I would love it if he would make these in 1/40 scale. But, can you imagine those prices!!!

Today's my birthday! That's a Joseph Leidy autographed letter (inquiring about a Mosasaurus or Leiodon skeleton), and an original 1925 Twistums Brontosaurus [/quote] Happy B-day! Lucky you, that Twistums are hard to find and command some $$$! Very cool, love the letter, too

Hehe, well, the spending spree was embarked upon not long after joining the forum, and they're all sort of gradually arriving in batches... ;D Yes, I'm sure these in 1:40 scale would cost an extremely pretty penny. Though in some ways, I'm used to seeing artists' resins fetch astonishing sums (if not actually spending them myself) from the model horse world. Suddenly these Krentz miniatures become eminently affordable. ------ Speaking of gradual new arrivals, these are the latest: ~Four Kaiyodo Dinotales figures: two T. rexes from different series (I'm not yet clued up on which), a Parasaurolophus skeleton and an Oviraptor (plus hatchling). ~Three box sets of Colorata dinosaurs, Volumes 1 & 2: Cretaceous; Volume 3: Jurassic. They really are beautiful little pieces. ~Two resin kits by Galileo Nunez (Geene Models): a Shunosaurus and a Giganotosaurus. ~Eight back issues of Prehistoric Times

My pocket did most earnestly appeal to me to reconsider, I assure you. But yes, I gave in, alas. And it really is gorgeous, as you say. The head in particular is so well sculpted, individual teeth and all.

Theri -- I swear I posted on here yesterday, but now I don't see it! Anyway, first a Happy Belated B-day! Those are truly some great gifts! Wow! Second, after reading something in another thread about most rare/oldest/and expensive dino toys, that Twistums Bronto was one of the ones listed as one or possibly the oldest dino toy! I am impressed!! Hold onto and take great care of that rare puppy!!!

Carnegie Deinonychus trio. Reliving my childhood, one outdated (sorry...vintage) figure at a time... I don't think I know this one. Have you any pictures or can you point me out to some? ;D Or are you planning to add to your collection thread anyway?

Next in the birthday lot: Advanced readers edition, less than 1000 ever made Interesing, what is different on that edition? Is the text of the novel different somehow? --------------------- My new children: Yep, it's the "Invictish" Tsintao. The lady from the museum is oh, SO nice. And: a LARAMI plesio wich is, on one hand, a bootleg of the Invicta and in the other hand, a colour scheme bootleg of the old Carnegie. Now, isn't it great? ;D
